EBU should take a decision. It is so simple. It is not like Ukraine would welcome Russia and everyone knows it.

Jon Ola is really annoying me now. "She should compete because it's in the spirit of Eurovision" gurl stop. Julia broke Ukrainian law. She knew she broke Ukrainian law. Channel One knew she broke Ukrainian law.
He goes on about how Eurovision isn't political, but to suggest that Ukraine shouldn't abide by their own laws would be the most political thing so far. And even still, if Julia we're to perform via satellite from another arena, that would be even more against the spirit of Eurovision!
It doesn't help that Russia played a major role in the cause of the Crimea crisis. If you didn't want your artist banned, don't steal land from other countries.
I doubt the EBU would be this worked up if a smaller country's artist like Omar or Salvador got banned.

This satellite idea just showed how unprofessional and overburdened with the situation the EBU is. What were they thinking, when they published this? One would expect that they would communicate with both countries before announcing something like this. If they did so, they would have known that both countries are actually against this.
I really appreciate now that Armenia knew, when to withdraw in 2012. Not like Russia 2017 or Georgia 2009.

And Russia is going behind the Armenian broadcaster's back and accusing Artsvik of having also performed in Crimea, despite there seemingly being no basis behind the claim, at least to my knowledge. It genuinely feels like a bunch of schoolchildren arguing in the playground because a couple of people stole someone else's lunch money, then one thief got caught, then that person dobbed the other thief in as well to drag them down with them

Svala looks amazing for 40! Not that 40 is particularly old, but she looks younger than many of the other female singers this year imo
