Fantasia Contest #05 • Confirmations

Today, during weekly press conference, Atlandian Radio Television (ART) has made an official statement regarding recently released information that LWT Leowé Televisioon has applied for the active membership of Fantasia Broadcasting Association in order to become able to compete in the Fantasia Contest.

As the national broadcaster of the Commonwealth of Atlandia and Leowé Islands, we have received this information and therefore we can confirm it's true. LWT Leowé Televisioon is currently considered to be a locally-owned channel, despite being owned by the Leowan government. We think that Leowan participation in the song contest is barely possible since the broadcaster isn't a part of national broadcasting group and Leowé Islands remains a part of our country, although they're ruled separately from the rest of the Commonwealth. According to the Fantasia Contest rules, only widely recognized independent nations can take part in the contest, making Leowé illegible to debut. However, we are open for talks with LWT Leowé Televisioon, in case they would like to become a part of national broadcasting group, ART and legally broadcast the contest and to participate in the selection of the entry, as well.

The Atlandian Radio Television (ART) itself hasn't confirmed participation of the nation in the fifth edition of contest but is expected to do so in the nearest future - in the upcoming week, possibly.

It is yet unknown whether Leowé Islands will be allowed to debut in the fifth edition of the Fantasia Contest.

Today, Atlandian Radio Television (ART) has held one more press conference in which the national broadcaster has officially confirmed Commonwealth's participation in the upcoming fifth edition of Fantasia Contest.

In this way, ART has given a hint that Leowé Islands should not be expected to debut this edition. However, neither LWT Leowé Televisioon nor Fantasia Broadcasting Association has not made an official statement regarding Leowan participation yet.

Atlandian Head of Delegation has not confirmed whether the broadcaster will opt an internal or national selection but it was said that internal selection is most likely to be held.

Right after the official confirmation, Fantasia Contest fan website FCleaks.at has posted on their Rawr account that ART is looking for Leowan artist to represent the country in order to prevent Leowé Islands from further debut seeking. The website has already gained trust of Atlandian fans after it has predicted that Troye Sivan's participation in FC#03 will be cancelled. Last night FCleaks have also predicted that ART will be confirming participation today.

Atlandia debuted in the first edition of Fantasia Contest. They have had the 100% qualification rate after the third edition. In Kerwan, #02 the nation has achieved its best result when Birdy and Rhodes have finished 9th in the Grand Final.
