I hope Felicia Lu wins today. I like her voice and both of her versions but I have to admit that I'm kind of dissapointed, too.

I think there are some similarities between "Perfect Life" from Axel and "Play" by Jüri - we all know how this has ended...

I would be so surprised if Axel didn't win this one. He's better with "Perfect Life" imo...
I like Helene's "Wildfire" the most though - such a cute song.

I dislike that it's always on Thusday... This actually says a lot about why ARD shouldn't be the host of the preselection. It's all about money. They won't have the preselection on a Saturday, they value it really lowly because it's "only" the preselection and they rather reserve the Saturday for other shows that will get more viewers. For them, the preselection is nothing cool, it's nothing awesome, for them it's just a waste of money. And we have to consider that ARD is an öffentlich-rechtlicher (public) broadcaster; they are financed by tax money and therefore they can't show any commercials to earn extra money. That's also why they want to have only one show. Private broadcasters would do a muuuuch better job hosting this show. For them, it would be a really big chance and a big honour. They would do their very best to impress the viewers. And they would gladly have multiple rounds and semifinals. They would show it on a Saturday to get the most viewers possible to determine the winner. Also, as a side effect, private broadcasters tend to have younger viewers; younger viewers tend to have a more contemporary taste in music. #ARDgohome #prosiebenpleasetakeover --- About the songs: After watching the MoMa performances, I was disappointed with Yosefin. It's not the right song for her. I don't think she'll survive the first round. Levina was as expected: boring but rather good vocals. Felicia and Helene were quite bad. Axel surprised me. Now after seeing the rehearsals: Yosefin seems to be the best performer. Axel has the strongest voice. Felicia looks so much like Lena (and contrary to Ann Sophie and Jamie-Lee, she even sounds like Lena  ). |

I really hope  Axel wins this with "Wildfire" but with "Perfect Life" is also really great!! Felicia the same, but I'm more for Axel.   |

Nutzername92a Agree, but the weekday is not the problem. 2010 and 2012 it was not Saturdays either. T Germany never had such a low quality selection.

Well, 2010 had multiple shows, so of course it's okay to have the preliminary rounds on Tuesdays and Thursdays. At least the final was on a Friday (and it was on ARD btw^^ If ProSieben had been allowed to broadcast the final, it would have probably been on a Saturday). And yeah, I'm not saying that the day is a problem. I'm saying that it shows how little ARD cares. --- I agree with your last sentence. Really low quality so far =/ |
