Are Ex-Yugoslav countries underrated in contests?

I'm an English native and I prefer songs that aren't in English (unless i'm listening to someone like Adele of course).

In relation to this thread ... no I don't think really think they are ... because all of these said countries if in the final are guaranteed to vote for whoever they border with ...

Eurovision is sloppy these days in terms of the songs picked, like Kati Wolf - in my view - should have sang szerelem miert mulsz ... Iceland always do a song in Icelandic at their national selection and then translate it to English for the performance at Eurovision ...

It's sadly because (and this is from my training as an English teacher to Foreign Speakers) that English is the lingua franca of Europe, because the number of people who speak English as their second language is double the number of actual native English speakers...
