FIRST FOUR SONGS ANNOUNCED The first four songs of The Song were released today. Check them out below:ESTABLISHED ARTISTSARISA
ARISA - "Controvento"
A famous singer who has won La Canzone not once but twice, Arisa is currently experiencing massive success off the back of her most recent victory in this year's La Canzone, with "Guardando il Cielo" charting at number 2. Her song, the song she won with in La Canzone 2014, is being compared to Disney-like compositions. Her song will definitely stand out.
KIDA KIDA - "Ja Kem Nis"
Kida is only 18 years old, yet has already experienced success some have found over a lifetime. Experiencing minor success with "O Najr" in 2014, she rose to fame in 2015 with her number one hit "Boni Zo" and has followed up with other hit singles "Ti Don" and "Shume On", of which the latter also became a number one hit. She is a prominent star in Pohunskia. Her competing song has already made waves in charts and many people are predicting her to do well.

ELODIE - "Un'Altra Vita"
The runner up in the latest season of Amici, Elodie looks to start off her music career with a bang. "Un'Altra Vita" has already become a successful hit in Glaray, and the fanbase of Amici will ensure she's a hot favourite going into the competition.
INA INA - "Te Dua Te Veshtire"
Ina rose to fame after participating in Kenga Magjike 2014, and whilst not winning the competition, went on to be one of the biggest hits of summer last year. Followed up by hit single "Criminal Love", Ina has faded away from the spotlight but hopes to return to her successful self with her participation.

FOUR MORE SONGS ANNOUNCED Four more songs from The Song were released today. They are as follows:ESTABLISHED ARTISTSSONI MALAJ SONI MALAJ - "Me Te Jeton"
Soni Malaj has been a known personality for over a decade. With participations in multiple prestigious music festivals, including a victory in Top Fest, she is a familiar face to Glaraian television. Malaj will compete with the song that brought her victory in Top Fest in 2014.
XHESIKA NDOJ & KALLASHI XHESIKA NDOJ & KALLASHI - "Shoqe Bitch"
Based in Maronesia, Xhesika Ndoj broke out in 2015 with "Eksploziv" and followed it up with "Vamos Bailar". After a couple of controversial songs which caused her to be disliked by the public, she teamed up with other infamous singer, a Maronesian-Glaraian from Western Katsyria, Kallashi, to create what they call 'the sluttiest song out there as a middle finger to all our haters.' The song however was credited as being catchy and caught on, becoming a club hit, however both artists are still universally disliked.
NEWCOMERS SERGIO SYLVESTRE SERGIO SYLVESTRE - "Big Boy"
The only non-Glaraian competing in the competition, Sergio was born in Glaray to ethnic Eldance parents. Beating fellow competitor Elodie in this season of Amici narrowly to become the winner, will he win over her again? Unlike Elodie, he chose to sing his debut single in Engju, presumably to reach a wider audience in Fantasia. An emotional ballad, participation in the competition will help elevate Sergio's status.
LODOVICA COMELLO LODOVICA COMELLO - "Non Cadiamo Mai"
Lodovica's success prior to The Song actually comes from acting, not singing. Comello was a cast member on a popular teenage show, and since has used the exposure to launch her music career. "Non Cadiamo Mai" has enjoyed a degree of success and her different song could be an underdog to win.

FOUR MORE SONGS RELEASED The national selection is coming closer to starting! Four more artists have made their entries public, have a look for yourself below:ESTABLISHED ARTISTS
BESA KRASNIQI BESA KRASNIQI - "Breathe"
Priding herself as the only independent artist in the established artists section, Besa has made a name for herself on her own accord. Krasniqi became a star after participating in the 54th edition of Festivali i Kenges and achieving a top 5 placing. Her song in the festival, "Liroje Zemren", went on to be a number one hit. She names "Breathe" as her follow-up single, which has already received a warm reception from the charts.
 ARILENA Arilena - "TokeRroke"
The only artist in the selection who has already competed at the Fantasia Contest, Arilena tries again for the contest, this time for her homeland. Arilena, who was born and raised in Equaland to ethnic Glaraian parents, temporarily moved to her homeland in 2012 and won the X Factor the following year. Since then, she's had multiple hits, including number ones "Aeroplan" and "Business Class". Arilena will certainly have the support of the Equalandic public behind her.
NEWCOMERSEDEA DEMALIAJ EDEA DEMALIAJ - "Ne"
The winner of the latest season of the X Factor, her debut single "Ne" was a flop in the charts despite being a fantastic vocalist and a fan favourite whilst being in The X Factor. Whilst also trying to grab the golden ticket to the Fantasia Contest, there is no doubt she'll be using the competition as exposure to promote herself.
ERMAL META ERMAL META - "Volevo Dirti"
Ermal Meta is no stranger to the Fantasia Contest - he wrote and composed "Straordinario", Glaray's first ever FC entry, alongside Gianni Pollex. Since the major success the song found and the exposure he gained, he broke out on his own and has been producing his own material. Meta hopes to make it to the Fantasia stage, but this time as a performer and not a composer. One thing's for sure - he has Chiara's support.

SIXTEEN DOWN, FOUR TO GO! Almost all the songs have been released! After today's four songs, there will be only four songs left to reveal. We almost know all the songs competing in the national selection! Have a look at the artists that revealed their songs today:ESTABLISHED ARTISTSLORENZO FRAGOLA LORENZO FRAGOLA - "Con Le Mani"
Lorenzo Fragola has experienced varying levels of success since his participation on The X Factor in 2014, where he finished second to Fleur East. His debut single "The Reason Why" became a Top 10 hit in Glaray, and cemented his status as a rising popstar. His two albums have both topped Glaraian album charts, and his participation in La Canzone in both 2015 and 2016 has kept him in the spotlight. Now he aims to break out internationally, using the Fantasia Contest as a platform to do so.
ADA REINA Ada Reina - "Lei Balla"
Ada Reina is most likely unknown to a few people, but she has scored several minor hits over the last couple of years. "Lei Balla" was her breakout track last year, and she is hoping to launch herself into the pinnacle of the music industry with her participation.
NEWCOMERSJUVI
JUVI - "Po M'Don Mu"
Juvi is the only completely unknown newcomer on the list - she won the online wildcard vote, and hopes to kickstart her career with her song, a club banger that will certainly give Kida a run for her money.
TEUTA KURTI TEUTA KURTI - "Mekat"
Despite competing on Glaraian Idol twelve years ago and finishing a respectable third place, Teuta failed to capitalise on the success she experienced on the show. In 2015 she attempted to take another shot at stardom by competing in Top Fest and Festivali i Kenges, and managed to score a top 10 hit with "Ne Syte E Mi". She competes with her Top Fest song, a pop ballad that relies on her strong vocal.
