Artsvik has won Depi Evratesil!
With a really chilling night during Christmas Eve in Armenia,
both Marta & Artsvik were duelling for the rights to be the Armenian representative in Kiev, Ukraine!
With the results being shown, it was revealed that Artsvik has been crowned the winner,
with 31% from the jury and 40% from the televoting, resulting in 71% in total.
Marta, the runner up, gathered up 29%, 19% from the jury, and 10% from the televoting. |

 AMPTV to reveal Artsvik’s song on 18 March
Late last year the Public TV Company of Armenia (AMPTV) announced an open competition for submissions for Artsvik’s entry for the 2017 Eurovision Song Contest. More than 300 composers and songwriters from all over the world have submitted their work but only 10 songs were shortlisted. After a careful consideration, AMPTV’s creative team, together with Artsvik, have made their choice - "Fly With Me".
Fly With Me was composed by Lilith and Levon Navasardya. According to AMPTV, both the music and lyrics were inspired by this year’s slogan for the Eurovision Song Contest; Celebrate Diversity. Featuring folk and traditional rhythms and elements not only from Armenia, but also from Europe, Africa and even Asia, Fly With Me showcases the beauty of diversity and proves that our stories and voices are the vivid colours of this world.
Artsvik said:
 My song tells a story of a girl, who is the metaphorical symbol of love. She embodies the colours, the stories and the voices that make us who we are. Fly With Me encourages everyone to come with me on this girl’s journey of championing diverse and beautiful human nature. I think nowadays it is especially important to embrace our heritage and our traditions. We, the people - our colours, our stories and our voices make up this world. We must never forget that this girl’s light and love is one for all of us. 
Artsvik's song for Eurovision 2017 will be premiered on the official Eurovision Song Contest channel on YouTube on Saturday 18th March at 18:30 CET. |
