Mysterious Song Contest - General Discussion

I do not understand this 

I dont like to close the board because i will participate every edition because MSC was the first contest that have participated so i want to keep the Contest open !!  also you are an amazing host !!

I hope you don't close MSC because I really like it and I think it's a fun contest, but my issue is (and other people have said that as well) the thing with the voting deadlines. It is nice that you don't put a final date but I believe that this is the reason that so few people vote. I myself have been like this. Other contests like SVSC or NNMC have clear voting deadlines and the hosts are willing to give a strike or ban someone who isn't voting in time. I think you should also have this clear deadlines for the voting because with that you can prevent people procrastinating and non-voting. I've done it this edition as well, because I always said to myself "Oh, there is no deadline so I can vote tomorrow etc etc" and waited with actually voting in MSC. I think if you would put a strict deadline and give a strike to everyone who is not voting will raise the interest in the contest. Of course you will lose some contestants but the ones who vote in time are usually the ones interested in the contest.
Another thing is the "first-come-first-serve-rule" which is a nice thing because you can try with countries like Kyrgyzstan or the Comoros that are seldom used in other contests but the rule can also lower the interest in the contest because for people who are only participating with a few countries that they know well, this rule can be a killer if the countries are already taken. I think it would be nice if the rule is that the previous HoD of a country first has to withdraw his participation with country XY before another player is able to recieve this country. With that you keep the people who are willing to change the country every edition as well as the people who only perticipate with a few countries
Nontheless I think that you guys are doing a great job with MSC and JMSC and you should keep going on with this contest.
