 Slovenija gre na Evrovizijo 2017.According to evrovizija.com, Slovenian broadcaster RTVSLO confirmed they will participate in the Eurovision Song Contest 2017. The pre-selection method will be EMA again, but different than the last 3 years. According to their sources, EMA 2017 will be in January and will last several weeks (meaning semifinals/heats). They also said an open call will start sooner than the last couple of years. |

Really, really, REALLY hoping they send Maja Keuc again. I hardly doubt we will see her for Slovenia. Few months ago she confirmed that Christer Björkman invited her for Melodi, but she declined. I wouldn't be suprised if we see her in MF2017. |

Does she have something do to with Sweden in that case? Didn't you know? She lives in Sweden for the past 2 or 3 years because of her boyfriend, who's the lead singer of Dirty Loops. That group was the inverval act of MF2015. |

www.rtvslo.si/files/razpisi_natecaji/2016/2016_12_02-pravila_-_ema_2017.pdfHere are the rules! - 2 semifinals + final - 8 songs per semifinal, 16 total - voting in the semifinals: jury + televoting, 4 songs qualify for the final (top 2 from televoting + 2 highest ranked songs in the jury vote that hadn't qualified through televoting) - 8 songs in the final - voting in the final: 6 regional juries, which give 12, 10, 8, 6, 4 and 2 points each (a total of 252 points) + televoting (top 6 gets points: 6th gets 12 points, 5th 24, 4th 36 ... winner 72 points, so a total of 252 points)
