North Vision Song Contest 20 • Semi-final 1

1. ESTONIA

I think this one was obvious it's just the only 100% qualifier from the SF to me. Everybody seems to
like/love the song, it's already one of the biggest contenders for the win.

2. MOROCCO

Quite sure to see this one in too. That kind of song is always so succesful in the contest.

3. CYPRUS

Another song that seems to arrouse way more love than hate in all.

4. FAROE ISLANDS

This slow ballad seems to have convinced a lot of people, its qualification from the PQR shows it.
I'm confident to see it advance, yet it's not the kind of entry I would expect to qualify easily "in general".

5. GEORGIA

This song seems to have everything to pass, and to finally bring a good result... but we've had cases like this
in the past where such entries were eliminated in the SF. It's not really likely imo, but it could happen here too.

6. LATVIA

Same comment as Georgia.

7. ROMANIA

Despite its quite low placing in the BOs, I'd say this one has real chances considering the high enough amount
of fans that it owns.

8. BELARUS

A song that came as an "obvious qualifier" for many. I don't really disagree, yet I was surprised not to see
more positive opinions towards this one.

9. BULGARIA

Almost at the opposite as above. According to the BO, this one is about to get eliminated, yet many
people openly claimed to love the entry... that's what makes me expect it to qualify.

10. PORTUGAL

Surprised I guess... a post saying "hope Portugal won't fail this time" got 17 likes.
Maybe their time to shine has finally come, we'll see if this appears to be true.

11. SLOVENIA

50/50 one. It seems to be liked and at the same time, it's pretty hard to claim without any doubt
that this will go to the Final. Anyway, it will create many disappointments if it doesn't.

12. ICELAND

Exactly same as Slovenia.

13. LUXEMBOURG

I don't know why, but I have the feeling that the "Alice fever" has gone away after her 13th place in #15.
Although the song seems to be liked, we need to see if it could be powerful enough to stand out.

14. AUSTRIA

Couldn't place this one higher. This kind of rock song was rare in the contest so far, it's complicated to
determine whether it attracted people or not.

15. UKRAINE

Could possibly qualify too. However, the song is really not as strong as previous 
Ukrainian entries which did well in the past.

16. CROATIA
17. FYR MACEDONIA
18. IRELAND
19. ALGERIA
20. LIECHTENSTEIN

Similar comment for all of them actually. They do have fans, I know, but I don't think it will be enough
to win a place for the Final.
