MY TOP 7  β’ SWITZERLAND β’ 9.5/10 (=) Not getting old even one bit. I cannot believe how much Switzerland surprised me with this. I wonder if this will be surpassed... Last year Iceland were my early-esc-season favorites, and ended up being my 9th place the day before the shows and flopped in the semi. Timebelle would do better for sure... I showed it to my GF and she loves it too, so I'm definitely not alone  This is just so mindblowing. Pow. Also, Miruna Manescu is sexy as heck.   β’ FINLAND β’ 7.0/10 (=) This song reached its peak for me, and I'm starting to feel less hyped on it already. I'm really having ups-and-downs here though, which is a letdown. If a song is in my top 3, it needs to show its crucialness.   β’ FRANCE β’ 5.5/10 (NEW) Nice. I wasn't blown away when I first heard it. I hoped for English tbh but this Indila vibe is really not bad. It went directly into my top 3, which most/all entries to be released probably won't do... I guess it's a good sign. It's catchy and cool once you get used to it. It isn't "Apollo", but it's quite nice. Miss Eurovision, 100% sure, so far. The Finnish ALMA is weaker.   β’ BELARUS β’ 5.0/10 (-1) This just left my top 3 and dropped down to my lower half (well, depends where you count 4/7) but still has potential to come back. I like the genre and the language, but the lyrics are basic and it's kind of repetitive. We'll see how it would eventually do.   β’ U.K. β’ 4.0/10 (-1) I'm concerned that the UK really isn't planning to win ESC anymore. Seems like they gave up after this 7-edition-long bottom 15 streak.   β’ GEORGIA β’ 3.5/10 (=) It's really not as good as I initally thought, but it just left the last place at my top, so it might have a future in higher positions than the bottom 2, which it hasn't left for a single top, and I've already posted 6 of them   β’ ALBANIA β’ 3.5/10 (-2) Nah. MY TOP 8 β’ SWITZERLAND β’ 9.0/10 (=) Still love it. If the year was 2010, this would've won. However, it's 2017, so it'll be slightly harder, but it's still possible. I hope it would win the whole thing. β’ FRANCE β’ 7.5/10 (+1) Ok, I've decided. I officially LOVE it. I can't unhear how she keeps saying "cornflour" β’ FINLAND β’ 7.0/10 (-1) First drop... Still liking this though! The instrumental break is also mine amazing! β’ BELARUS β’ 5.5/10 (=) It's cute, but cute just isn't enough at ESC. I can see my top slowly building and having this ending up about 20/43 before the final shows. Liking this a bit more now. β’ GEORGIA β’ 4.5/10 (+1) Now that this is "Ok" for me rather than "Meh", I have at least one entry at each category in the legend. Maybe this is the beginning of a growing-on-me phase for Georgia. Who knows? β’ ALBANIA β’ 3.5/10 (+1) It's only going up because the UK goes down tbh. I am not liking this much more now. β’ GERMANY β’ 3.0/10 (NEW) I don't understand the hate on YouTube but I'll agree that the vocals are underwhelming and that Germany isn't very impressive after their last place streak. Maybe it'll just take time until I can appreciate it. Right now the French song is stuck in my brain so I can't even recall what this song sounds like by now.  β’ U.K. β’ 2.0/10 (-3) Heard the whole song. This is really boring.
