I adore this song to DEATH so hm I guess no surprise from me
There goes my 1st place, probably the overall one

First of all, simple =/= boring. It was an effective performance without the need of glitz, glamour, and gimmicks.

Second of all, this is the first ballad this year that genuinely touched me in a deep level. I'm impressed. I saw potential in the studio version and the live performance achieved that potential. I was not disappointed.

This has a strong chance of making it to the Grand Final, but probably only because of jury vote. "I Stand" qualified because of jury vote, so I can see the same with "Blackbird."

What's holding me back from giving this a is the performance. Yes, all the elements are there -- strong, flawless vocals, enchanting instrumental, beautiful staging -- but it lacks a timeless moment that can make the audience remember this performance. I think what I'm saying that it needs a stronger connection to audience, which may help in the televote.

Wow, that was a lot of typing. I must love this entry so much that I say so much about it.

What I'm worried is that if 2017 gets over-saturated with ballads, this could get lost in the mix.

This song has the same effect as a sleeping pill to me, the less interesting chorus until now. The selection had so much better to offer so it's a big disappointment to me.
