Why can't you hold me in the street? Why can't I kiss you on the dance floor?

mimisthesc hopefully I am not a burden or anything. I am hoping that you haven't started making the postcards, and if you have, I hope you didn't start mine, because I am really considering changing entry on friday. Just wanted to give you the info, so you don't make a postcard for nothing. If you feel like it's unfair of me to take a spot like this for everyone, then I am fine with you removing me as a "confirmed country" until friday Images for all submitted entries have been made. If you knew that there was a chance for your entry to change once you had submitted the other one, then I personally don't see the point beyond it actually. Securing a place is rather stupid as we all know that everyone wants to take a spot but then after some point, we have to wait until the very last ones submit. Anyway, I will accept it (although you should have let me know from before). Just sending out a general message by the way; I really entry changes in general really 'irresponsible' - not referring to you or to anyone personally and without intending to insult anyone but I guess that people should be sure about their choices. If they are not, they can just wait, and not submit an entry just to see how well it goes at the comments or decide all out of a sudden that the song is not 'good enough' for the contest etc. Apart from that, it's also extra work for us (as if we hadn't already had much). Spoilers because long-ass textThank you for this response. I pretty much have myself to blame here, so I can understand if you're frustrated. I saw how fast the slots were taken, and I kinda panicked, as I didn't want to lose my slot, so I searched for a entry and got to a conclusion to send this (which I still love). Then a specific artist who-is-not-to-be-named-yet happened posted a teaser, and I pretty much got eager to send them right away, so that's why this all happened. Of course, the song change has nothing to do with "oh, nobody will like this, I better send a better-result worthy song", but more of a "I love this new song more why did I send the old one in the first place". I know that no opinions were given to my entry in this thread, and that's what I prefer more. The less opinions the more exciting it is for me to see my result. Of course, I'll feel guilty if you have to make a new postcard just for me, when you've already made one for the current participant. And once again, I'd understand why you'd be frustrated by this, and I am sorry if it does happen that I change my entry just to make you guys more work to do, but I'd just like you to know that I still respect everything both you and Florian has done to the contest, and I hope everything still goes smoothly. I've learned my lesson. I am gonna take my time with my entries next time, and try to not make the same mistakes. Once again, thanks you for your response, thanks for giving me the permission to change the song for this edition (if needed), and hope you understand my response to you

Once again, thanks you for your response, thanks for giving me the permission to change the song for this edition (if needed), and hope you understand my response to you I am not frustrated, I am just pointing out something that is important for people to know. I do, reckon that you might want to change your entry because of a new song that will be released and panicking of losing your spot sounds logical to me. Apart from that, we're all humans and personalities differ so you wanted to go and take the sure way of not losing your spot. However, I just hope that such a thing will not be happening every edition on a regular basis by a significant number of players. We've already had 1 change of entry, now it's yours (with which I am OK as I've told you) but I just don't want everyone to start posting entries just to secure their place and then changing them because the process of making an image is time consuming and tiring after quite some time.

Israel's Entry This edition I decided to be original, with a song that I'm quite sure that even the Israelis here won't know. The song itself is called "Im At Ba'inyan" (אם את בעניין) And the band that sings it is called "Malca Baya" (מלכה באיה) I would really like the time slot to be from 1:45, if you don't mind Perhaps we'll get points for originality

The winner of TCoH 8 and so the Dutch participant for WWWSC 51 is: Daniël Lohues - De zunne en de maon Daniël is singing in Lower Saxon, to be precise in the Drents dialect of Lower Saxon. In the Council of Europe Framework Convention for National Minorities Lower Saxon is recognised as a minority language, spanning the east of the Netherlands and the north-west of Germany. However, national recognition doesn't really catch on. Maybe because it lacks one standard form, Lower Saxon speakers in the Netherlands are generally said to 'just' speak non-standard Dutch, with the situation in Germany being very similar. The music industry in Lower Saxon is rather small, but sometimes songs in the language go past the borders of the speaker community. Of this music industry, Daniël Lohues is the most influential exponent, with his newest album, on which this song was also released, peaking in second place on the Dutch album Top 100. Picture:
