The Rambo Amadeus Award to the artist that is trying to revive a dead Eurovision language goes to...
Janice Mangion and "Kewkba", which was sung completely in Maltese! Janice Mangion managed to do the impossible, by competing in MESC with a song in Maltese, a language that hasn't been used in their selection for many many years! Janice managed to finish 2nd in the selection, unfortunately just missing out to represent Malta by mere 500~ votes, but even then, Janice's ballad in Maltese managed to touch a lot of peoples heart to still win this award!
We'd also like to congratulate our runner up:
NAVI with their song "Historyja majho žyccia", which is sung completely in Belarusian! Another credit going to NAVI for actually being the first ever act to sing in Belarusian in Eurovision!
and our third place:
Elin & The Woods with "First Step In Faith/Oadjebasvuhtii", which is sung completely in Sami! Also includes one verse in English, as well as parts sung in the style of joiking!
FULL RESULTS
Next category, as well as poll, is expected to be revealed during the 25th of February. Stay tuned!

but technically, Belarussian isn't a dead eurovision language, as it was not even 'born' in the first place

I dont know but that is weird. Isnt the award to be supposed to go to the "worst"? Though Janice was the best in this poll imo.

I might have made the category title really misleading (which I've discovered some time ago, whelp). But this time It was awarded to the one that did the best impression using a dead (or a never existing) Eurovision language. I will try to do both "to the best" and "to the worst" categories during the run of the thread, but I'll also try to be more specific next time.

The lyrics is one of the most important factors to a song, and are mostly based on moments in life that the artist has experienced. The lyrics could either be written really poetical, really beautiful, or just plain normal. But then there are those who take their lyrical writing one step... higher. You could wonder what in life made them write this in the first place. Therefor, the second category is: Rambo Amadeus Award for the song that was written while drunk: Etzia - "Up" Alvistar Funk Association - "Make Love, Not War" Tornike Kipiani & Giorgi Bolotashvili - "You Are My Sunshine" Vidas Bareikis & Ieva Zasimauskaitė - "I Love My Phone" Payushchie Trusy - "Singing Pants" Knucklebone Oscar & The Shangri-La Rubies - "Caveman"
