But are you even allowed to bring something from Hong Kong, released in that time, for China? I mean technically it was owned by the UK. If / / can send songs from before they gained independence, why shouldn't they be allowed?

Here such things don't matter. While in ESC the same song can't participate in the National Selection multiple times, here it can as many times as the HoD wants, of course if it doesn't win and/or participate before.

Here such things don't matter. While in ESC the same song can't participate in the National Selection multiple times, here it can as many times as the HoD wants, of course if it doesn't win and/or participate before. Exactly And Chameleon was also eligible and even took part in WWWSC #45
