Whether you're a Valentina Monetta fan or not, it's rather silly having the same person representing your country over and over again!!. Twice is acceptable but FOUR times in one decade!! ... I have to question San Marino's participation ... the fact they're a small nation IS NOT AN EXCUSE!!. If you have a country with 30,000 inhabitants, finding a singer who is willing and able to participate is difficult, let alone finding an artist who is able to cover a 300,000 euro fee for the expenses regarding their participation. About the song, I was in COMPLETE disbelief when I was told Valentina was representing SM again, I thought she would have been done with the contest after qualifying However when I saw Ralph Siegel as the composer I cringed so hard and knew it was going to be a dated backing track. Honestly, I found this really tacky on the first listen but the more I listen to it the catchier it gets. Usually I will never be biased in terms of which countries I cheer for but I will support Valentina regardless, even if the song isn't that great They have picked other artists in the past and there is no reason why they can't do it again, regardless of population. As for the fee, they can afford the cover otherwise they wouldn't be participating.

I guess they run out of singers again I was really surprised and still am because there were not even rumours about Valentina's return and it all happened out of a sudden Typical outdated Siegel song which almost makes me cringe

Maybe they didn't find any other artist who wanted to take part, as the artist had to pay for the participation in San Marino, ever thought of that ? Not many artists are willing to pay the money and SMRTV didn't come up for it either

Obviously unestablished Sammarinese musicians can't afford to pay for their participation, neither would foreigners "just to represent San Marino", that's why they probably chose Valentina Monetta, as well as Ralph Siegel, who most likely paid a big part too
