If it does turn out that people use National Selections as a safety pin (idek if that's a thing lol), you could simply not secure the spots for the countries with the NS. It is player's obligation to run and finish it in time. Might as well aim for the grand final voting deadline. And as far as the limit problem, I don't have any ideas, as I have the same problem in Retro lol. The only thing I tried to "work in" was, if you send your entry after all spots were taken, that entry is already submitted in the next edition, so the person who is out has a silver lining. Probably wouldn't work here as people might not stick with the same entry until the next edition. And it was probably used like twice in Retro  people just didn't want to submit after all spots for the current edition were taken  I would honestly prefer PQR over rotation system. If so, I guess we will be able to notice quickly and take action. In this case, countries who failed to submit in time could be there. So not always the "smaller" countries would be in PQR (which I got a feeling from the other contests). Qualifiers proceed to be allocated in the semi-finals.

Qualifiers proceed to be allocated in the semi-finals. Well, in this case we could consider something like that. Such a new 'system' would be a quite significant change though so we should make sure it's applied in the best possible way, so that it satisfies the majority of the players and gives equal chances to everyone. |

You probably noticed that in just a bit more than 24 hours, all 51 spots for this edition were taken. This resulted in 6 countries having to withdraw, due to not having submitted an entry in time. Those were  Azerbaijan,  Brazil,  China,  FYR Macedonia,  Israel and  Suriname. Because of that, we thought of introducing a new system which will start working from now on, if you want to contribute to this edition as well as secure your place for next edition; a Rest of the World Jury!Further Information - You will be able to vote ONLY in the Grand Final of the edition (it is not compulsory). Then, all votes received will be added up and the TOP 10 of the final total score will form the jury votes (the one who got the most points in total will receive  , the runner-up will receive  etc.).- The TOP 10 will be transformed into votes right after the voting is closed. In case 2 or more countries have scored the same amount of points in total, the one with the least points will get more points from the Rest of the World jury(Example Case: If  Austria finishes 10th and  Cyprus finishes 19th and both have got the most points in total from the Rest of the World jury, the will go to Cyprus, because it's lower that Austria, which will get ). - At the same time, if you vote, you reserve your place for the next edition. Countries like  Indonesia, which decided to withdraw but will be back next time are also welcome to vote, if they want to secure their place.- As this means that already some places will have been reserved beforehand, some of you who used to submit your entries before the official thread opened will not be able to do so from now on. Submitted entries will only be accepted once the official edition thread has opened.What do you think of these changes? Let us know by commenting below!
