I spoke Danish at work today
We had people in the store from the Faroe Islands and there was a customer who couldn't speak much English so I asked her " taler du Dansk? " and her reaction was "
er ...
j...a... jeg taler Dansk "
So when I responded with "hvordan kan jeg hjælpe du?" again her reaction
....
Customer: " er ... hvor er spillet "skylander? "
Me: " ah .. det er her *I point to it*"
Customer: " ah tak!"
Me: "ikke problem
"
Customer: "kan jeg har at, behage? *customer points* "
Me: " ja! et øjeblik *
*"
so I gave it to her and she said out loud " JEG KØBER!
"
Me: " okej! det er £ femten pund, behage "
*hands money over* *I do the change*
Customer: " mange tak!
"
Me: " ikke problem, farvel!
"
Customer: " FARVEL!!!
"
