Alright so quick résumé or w/e is this on each country qualifying/not qualifying from Semi 1 and how do I feel about them:

It was solid enough to go through to be honest, and I really don't get anyone who says that this is the worst qualifier of the night. Europe really felt the Austrian Black Jesus and I will not be convinced otherwise.
Predictable as hell. Slick projections, flawless vocals, there's all to it to further solidify my theory as to why will it be Tallinn. The juries watch everything through a sattelite feed so they wouldn't think this performance was too still and boring in terms of movement. The televoters were captured by the vocals and the overdone dress projection shtick.
I mean why wouldn't it? Afterall, as of recently, it is a huge favourite... it had passion, energy and, most importantly, F I R E (yeah yeah).
Well... at least I'm happy for her... but scared about the huge support she's receiving tbh. The tumblr Eurofans are already angry at the 'level' of 'ballads' this year and thought it might be because of Portugal winning last year. Then imagine what THIS will cause. Vienna 2015 on a bigger scale. I'm scared to think of the consequences. Sure the performance is cute and intimate but... I'd rather if someone a liiiiiiittle bit more uptempo would win this year tbh. Kaunas can wait until 2020, oh I'm sure! (as well as I'm still on the #justice4theroop section of things... but I guess it's for the better because they wouldn't have had accumulated as much hype from others unfortunately?

Elephant in the room, folks. The performance might seem like a mess but it's a colourful and fancy mess. BTW I have heard of Salvador openly bashing this and... I'm strangely indifferent tbh. I just hope this publicity doesn't make the voters push towards their victory just to see Salvador giving the trophy to a song he hates...
Well it was charming, had that swagger and people felt cool with it. Plus the camerawork was alright? I loved these shadow dancers but please transition them smoothly because the sudden cuts were too jarring for me.
Nicely staged camerawork and it was all fine... until that one part where they mixed Zhana's mic a bit too much up to make HER stand out. Or was that the plan?

Eugent slayed! Well at some points it was a bit too much but it was all amazing in the end! AAAAHHHAHHAHAHAHHAHAHHAHAH IT'S FREAKING UNREAL BUT IT'S REAL AAAAAAAAAAAAAA 
Well done to Saara, I hope she does her best on Saturday to make Europe think she's worthy of doing well enough... for at least a second placing 
I was kinda unphased by this because at least my number 1 went through to the final and my country too so at this point I didn't really care anymore. Good for Ireland to finally qualify again btw! The performance was nice and truly suitable for a nice Saturday evening by the fireplace at home on the couch with a guitar. Though is it me or was it banking more on the gay vote? Tumblr just LOVES to highlight about how gay was that song...

Lackluster all over the place. A really odd looking performance from what I've seen and known, too. Have I told you that I actually missed out on this performance because my stream froze so I had to watch the show on TV that was waaaay behind with the situation than it actually wasn't supposed to be? I liked the triangles and the wind machine though, but not the dress choice for Aisel... she wasn't able to rock that bodysuit tbh
Wow so unexpected! In all that's real though, it was somewhat charming, the backings were friendly and Ari gave his best (though that high-note... ayyyyy not his best one). I felt something inside after seeing Ari tear up after finishing his performance. It was just too cute. Please Iceland, bring him back with a contender song so that we could see more of his charmingness
It was the 2nd chorus that ruined her. On the 1st one the backings helped her out to sound smooth enough. Also the tumblrites found her awkward
Called it. So very called it. The revamp screwed it up completely, plus the rose fetishism really gave this performance a creepy flavour. Plus, I thought there was something off with Alekseev's vocals at the beginning... lol at him fantasizing with that rose though. That rose burst effect was incredibly cheap. I'm sorry for his tumblr fangirls but at least they will have Melovin surely pulling through right?
Nice transitions, messy live performance. Which is a shame because Macedonia REALLY had a nice enough entry this year.
Did see this coming somehow. She did a great job with selling the song but something about the track was just not right unfortunately.
Called it, kind of. It's so much of a Verona of 2018: huge hit with people, top 15 with bookies, nowhere in the final because of that. darn. staging. I thought she was epic but could've used something more than that. Dare I say the sound system really sabotaged her in the choruses though? I heard more instrumental than any voice, sadly...
Awwww. The song was unfortunately uneventful big time though, despite how much did Sevak do a decent job on it. I liked when he sang that parts that were supposed to be sung by his backings at the end...
Disappointed but not surprised. It was cool and sounded cool, yeah, but it was really struggling to pick up any pace with a semi as strong as this one. Wasn't too sad about its elimination, neither for the Belarusian one because the failures of the two would have been acceptable to me... and they were...

Georgia is pretty unlikely to qualify.!
Latvia qualifies it will be the first year ever that all three Baltic countries qualify with a female solo act in the same year.
