Switzerland confirmed its participation, and here are the regulations:
- date of the preselection - 4th February.
- the winner will be chosen 50/50 (televote and international juries)
- the show will be televised from the TV studio in Zürich
- songs can be sent from 1st until 22nd September
- no Live Checks, song will be chosen by a 20-member jury, which will include ESC fans, regular television fans, music and media professionals
- the number of songs will be determined later after seeing the quality of submitted demo-songs
- SRF has the right to reject the singers of demo-songs and choose their own
- the Swiss television is responsible for making stagings.

Obviously its not the BBC or anything but I quote a British newspaper -

"We look forward to another great Eurovision Song Contest next year in Portugal."

So I think its feasible to say the UK will go to Lisboa, we've just not actually been bovvered to say it yet.
