I have high hopes for Portugal - honestly 2017's Festival da Canção was stunning and I'm sure Portugal will make a replica of last year's perfect lineup  |

A week ago (15 of May) it seemed Lisbon was already chosen by default as the host because no other cities approached, but a few days ago Guimarães, Gondomar, Faro and Santa Maria da Feira announced that they would like to be the host city as of May 23
Do you think Portugal delegation will stand by their announcement or do you think they should do a bidding phase like the Ukraine to see which city will host the contest?

-17 songs from invitations by RTP to songwriters
-1 song from invitation by Salvador Sobral to a songwriter of his choice
-1 song from an open call of public entries
-1 song from a composer who won an Antena 1 Radio competition for unknown composers
