Our Head of Delegation (  Εύη Παπαμιχαήλ) has confirmed that we will have a National Final for this year. She stated in the Press Conference after our 1st Rehearsal this year that after 2015, they trusted the  Swedish composer Thomas G:Son in order to give the time and the chance to our composers to work on their projects and submit them for the National Final to come, since our music industry is really small. |

Our Head of Delegation ( Εύη Παπαμιχαήλ) has confirmed that we will have a National Final for this year. She stated in the Press Conference after our 1st Rehearsal this year that after 2015, they trusted the Swedish composer Thomas G:Son in order to give the time and the chance to our composers to work on their projects and submit them for the National Final to come, since our music industry is really small. I hope Thomas G:Son will be again the composer for Cypriot 2018 entry  because i think now only with Thomas G:Song Cyprus will qualify in the final |

Tbh,kinda bored of Thomas G:Son for Cyprus. |

So agree there. I don't know about the people responsible for Eurovision in other countries, but I'd be happier about a top result achieved with own composers - also countries like Malta, Georgia etc. I hope Thomas G:Son will be again the composer for Cypriot 2018 entry because i think now only with Thomas G:Song Cyprus will qualify in the final Tbh. I'm tired of him for any other country than Sweden.  |

However, we also have talented composers, as well as singers. It's just that some of them don't really take the risk to give it a try. I guess they should as they have nothing to lose after all. The problem is maybe that they usually write songs which would be more appealing to the  Greek music scene Personally, I would really find it nice if we were represented by a Cypriot composition |
