tbh, I wasn't that fond of any of songs in OT, so I am at least glad they at least did a decent choice of song. It's quite an average entry, not the best, but definitely not the worst. I get a slight Disney feeling to this, and I do like their voices together. Two things I think they should consider before going to Lisbon is: Revamping and staging. The song ain't bad per se, but I believe the song could be needing a revamp, Spain could do a massive change of phase for Lisbon (I also think a revamp would be great mostly cuz the artists only had one week~ to prepare with the song, so I wouldn't be surprised if the singers aren't 100% with the current song) and about the staging, it definitely needs a massive change until Lisbon. leaving the piano after 30 seconds seemed really useless, and the interaction they had after that was kinda awkward. but if Alfred & Amaia manages to master both of these tasks, I could see Spain do something, but for now, I am not sure how well they'll fare.

Coming from a first impression perspective, "Tu Cancion" is pretty much a cute ballad performed by two artists with great chemistry between them. The song is fairly simply, yet effective, and the build-up with the "ooo"-s creates this little atmosphere of calmness and serenity, from which the last chorus build-up gains a little bit of depth in comparison with the first and second chorus. As my fellow forumers mentioned it previously, the song quite reminds us of Disney's approach regarding music in the movies, but you can also picture this as a poem or a romantic story, where the song is the plot and the grading evolution of the narrative build-up and the main characters are the two lovers portrayed as Alfred & Amaia. (Sorry for my STEM people, but let's say literature kinda went over me this time lmao, plus you can really see this as a movie soundtrack for a love-story or something)
My point of view regarding this song? Considering Spain had to go through a lot of national selections changes throughout the years and so, I do honestly like this. I expected Amaia & Alfred to be for sure chosen considering how devoted their fans were, and I only found out recently they were in a relationship, so yay me. The song brings up the innocent love between the two young contestants which I honestly think it's the strong key, as their chemistry is amazing and you can actually see the emotion between them on stage. That's a great thing in all honesty.
My only issue in my point of view is that I'm not too fond of Alfred's voice & that the song doesn't really have a proper build-up to make it more enchanting and to make it stand out a bit. The song is really cute and does remind of Disney here and there, I agree, but I feel like the build-up which goes between the second part of the song and the last chorus isn't strong enough. I do think there's a lot of potential here, that's why I gave it 6 points. It can still grow on me, but there's always place for a tiny bit better. Nonetheless, way better than last year, so well done, Spain. Let's hope you don't end up again in bottom 5, because it will be a shame to see it so low.

Sorry Spain, but I really hate this kind of cheese. And there were better options.

I love the song since the very first moment. They need to improve the staging so bad, tbh. And I would tell Alfred to change some personal defects he has when he sings, like his facial gestures or closing his eyes all the time. One of the best NFs in Spain.
