SBS are pleased to announce that Australia will be competing in the next edition of the International Music Festival.
After huge demand from our viewing audience, we have internally selected our entry, which was by huge request from the Australian public. We already have established which song will be the one to be performed by the selected entry to represent the nation at the next event also. |

The new HoD, Apo Piirainen arrived in Helsinki to confirm the news, speaking about future plans and ideas for the next Finnish participations.
There are many rumours about the return of the well-known Uuden Musiikin Kilpailu (UMK).

  Austria: Entry to be nationally selected?
Rumors have spread that ORF is planning a small selection
for the 39th edition, however the broadcaster announced that
a final decision would not be made until the results are revealed.
For now, ORF are provisionally going to send a song in German.
It is subject to change depending on whether Austria is in Big Six. |
