It would be funny if the  Filipino and the  Colombian end up being the top two at the end.  Indeed, that would be funny. However it's not practical, they finished bottom two last episode. I put my money on  José being eliminated today. |

I put my money on José being eliminated today. José Steinberg. 8 participants qualified for the Israeli national final. After the first shows, due to take place February 4th (my birthday. Huzzah.) and February 5th, 2 singers will be eliminated. After the second shows, due February 11th, the 4 finalists will be revealed, and finally... THE WINNER OF THE NF ON FEBRUARY 13TH WILL BE THE ISRAELI REPRESENTATIVE FOR ESC 2018!(The song will be revealed in early March. Probably on a Sunday.) |

How is Chen Aharoni doing? I've been a fan of him for years and I really he will win this year's Rising Star He won every single round thus far, if that helps. He finished 1st in the INFE poll, very closely followed by  Neta Barzilay. The fan favorites are Chen and Howie Danao, but the judges are definitely leaning towards a win for Neta (or Mergui, if televotes end up getting her eliminated.) |

Do we already know anything regarding her song? Song submissions will be accepted until February 26th at midnight (27th) Israel time. We're expecting it to include a live looper, and to "have a style if its own", in Netta's words. I'm absolutely grateful that she won. Israel can win with her - a perfect combination of skill, gimmick, and originality. |
