Welcome Europe to Söngvakeppnin Sjónvarpsins, the
Icelandic national selection for the 23rd edition of North Vision Song Contest!The selection process was used before in the 7th, 8th and 9th editions respectively. From #11, only an internal selection was used to select the
Icelandic act for North Vision Song Contest, with mixed results. However right now, we are making a return to the national selection format.FORMAT
Unlike in earlier editions, regional juries are scrapped. Instead, all NBU members and associate members can vote.
Then all votes will be divided into groups, representing regions of
Iceland. However, more on that later.8 songs will compete in the national selection. RÚV has already mentioned that the selection will be diverse, with a range of different genres being present in the selection.
There will be songs in both
English and Icelandic, but RÚV has hinted at a song in a non-European language being in the selection.VOTING
Voting will be in North Vision style, however we won't be using
