And which one would it be then? Because I have no clue... I don't know how close/far the songs in your top were to each other (maybe your 1st was miles ahead of 2nd or maybe you had doubts, who to give 1st), also in other tops... If I'd know that, maybe that would tell me the answer...  You're obviously giving the victory to the one with the most points, despite how close it might've been. If you want to consider differences and stuff, you can just choose a different voting system which we've already seen in National Selections; a certain amount of points being distributed between a small number of songs. I considered this, but it's not very good, if I'm honest - because 1 vote can basically decide the winner by giving lots of points to 1 song (you can clearly see this system in ESC now), while others get barely any points... I had that kind of situation in one of my previous NS's and it didn't prove very good in the end... closer points make it harder for any of the songs to "run away" that easily... if the song is really that good and everyone likes it, it will win by a good margin anyway even with my current system... so far it proves that the songs are quite similar... and the balance comes from the big difference in votes - as I already mentioned, the leading song has not only the most  , but also the most  - that's why it hasn't "run away" completely... But ok, I'll do the regular - winner goes on! We'll see how it goes and if the result will be bad, I might consider using one of the songs that was either 2nd or 3rd in this NS... |

As I already thought - no one's gonna vote here anymore, so the result is clear for me. For you - just have to wait until I reveal it... I'm actually a bit surprised that this song won (I thought that another song was more of a favorite), but if that's your choice - so be it... |

Today is the deadline of the final for this NS, but as there is no one else left that would like to vote - it's time to reveal the results. For me they are a bit unexpected, though might be kinda logic! See for yourself! From total of 28 songs, these 4 in the end were the stronger ones! Let's see how they line-up for the final time after 11 votes! In the honourable 4th place with 27 points is... Very ironic is that this song got the least - only 1! P.S. This was the only cover that made it this far! You will probably ask, what song is the original if this is the cover? It's simple - you've already been introduced with the band, but can you guess, what band and what song it is? Let me know, once you find out... P.S. Nikolajs once already participated in this contest with a song that many of you liked, but that as well was a cover from the song of the same band!  3rd place with 29 points goes to... 2nd place with 30 points goes to...The only female participant of this final -
So what's left? Yep, it's the only song in english in this final - so the  1st place with 35 points and a ticket to represent  Latvia in WWWSC #55 goes to... the song that barely qualified from it's semifinal... Very ironic that this barely qualified from the semifinla #1, while Nikolajs qualified from the same semifinal quite comfortably, but finished only 4th...P.S. As you can see - it got 5x , but also 4x . So let's see how well it will do in the actual contest... As you can see - this NS was quite unpredictable, because the results changed from round to round... All the results of the final voting you can see in the spoiler below! Huge thank's to everyone who voted and let's hope for the best! Good luck to eveyone! mimisthesc - I will post the timeslot and the picture/-es when the thread opens for it |
