WWW Song Contest #55

First of all, I would like to thank you everyone for your votes in the Pre-Qualification Round! We have received 23 votes and there's still time for those who haven't voted!

Concerning the announcement now, it's a change in the submissions procedure. We had already stated that we had planned to make a change so now it's time to let you know about it. As we had a lot of National Selections this time [14 in total, however 3 of them eventually didn't affect as 2 of them were already the Cypriot and the Italian ones (admin & TOP 3) and the other one was the American one, which was not applied eventually], there were quite a lot of reserved places even before the edition began. We had been thinking that maybe some players would take advantage of the reserved place one gets once they open a National Selection but some countries tend to open a National Selection in almost every single edition. Hence, from now on, you can still open a NS but make sure it's closed and that the song chosen will be submitted to us in time, once the submissions open. In case you open a NS and close it before the submissions but still fail to submit your entry in time, then you will have to be in the Pre-Qualification Round.

This means that the countries to have a safe spot in our contest are those that will have voted as members of the Rest of the World Jury of the previous edition & Austria, Cyprus and Slovenia. The reason Slovenia will also have a reserved place, like the 2 admins, is because Jasna has been with us for a really long time and apart from the fact she hosts the Retro WWW Song Contest, which is a really successful sub-contest of ours thanks to her fantastic job, she also helps us out with several other stuff, meaning she's more than worth of this reserved spot.
