DANSK MELODI GRAND PRIX 18Announcement Thread
The eighteenth edition of Dansk Melodi Grand Prix will be held to select the
Danish entry for the upcoming twenty-third edition of the North Vision Song Contest.

THE FORMATThe format of the selection will be kept the same as last edition.
There will be one final with ten acts competing in it.
The most voted song will be crowned as the winner and therefore the Danish representative in the contest.
THE ENTRIESTen songs out of about 1,200 entries that were sent to DR have been selected by the broadcaster along with a jury.

THE VOTINGThis edition will introduce a new voting system for the selection.
The voting will use the jury/televoting system, which was last used in the fifth edition.
However, the juries will be selected rather than having jury applications.
The juries will be selected by the broadcaster based on several criteria.
The rest of the countries that will not be selected as juries will vote as televoting.
Each voting will have a 50% impact on the result.
Both HoDs and co-HoDs are able to vote and their votes will not be combined but will count as individual votes.
