TOP 40 SONGS
This week has seen mostly Fantasia Contest #14 songs either debuting or shooting up the top 40. Despite this , the #1 song of the week is not a Fantasia Contest song:
"Nothing Breaks like a Heart by
Mark Ronson and
Miley Cyrus retakes the position, after
"thank u, next" by
Ariana Grande falls down to 4th place.
RÜFÜS DU SOL and
Est-Her with the songs
"Lost in My Mind" and
Last Minute Wedding, both from the Fantasia Contest, place 2nd and 3rd, over Grande's "next". As Christmas fell into the tracking period,
Mariah Carey's
"All I Want for Christmas Is You" jumped 17 spots to 5th position, which is now also its peak position on the charts.
Following Carey's "Christmas",
MARUV's
"Black Water" and
Jenni Mosello's
"Vou Gritar" come in at 6th and 7th places, also getting a boost from the Fantasia Contest.
Betta Lemme's
"Give It" drops from its 3rd place peak to 8th.
"Elisa Lam" by
SKYND debuts at 9th place, the highest debut of the week. And rounding out the top 10 is
Florina's
"In the Shadow".
TOP 40 ARTISTS
Ariana Grande retains her top position on the chart, which she has held, non-consecutively, for 25 weeks.
Eleni Foureira moves up 6 spots to 2nd,
Dua Lipa comes in at 3rd. Also in the top 10 this week are
Clean Bandit,
Mark Ronson,
MARUV,
Beach House,
Sia,
Est-Her and
Alan Walker.
The Fantasia boost can also be seen on the artist chart, with multiple artists from the 14th edition of the Fantasia Contest also debuting or moving up on the chart.
TOP 10 ALBUMS
Ariana Grande also retains her top position on this chart, with
sweetener claiming the top spot for a non-consecutive 10th week.
Dua Lipa's self-titled album stays steady at 2nd place, having been on the chart for a record-breaking 58 weeks.
MARUV's
Black Water moves up to a new peak of 3rd place, seemingly also getting a boost from the Fantasia Contest.
Rosalía's former chart-topper,
El Mal Querer stays steady at 4th place, whilst
Little Mix's
LM5 drops two spots to 5th.
Christmas falling into the tracking week has brought two Christmas albums into the chart,
Mariah Carey's
Merry Christmas makes its debut at 8th, whilst
Sia's
Everyday Is Christmas re-enters at 9th, having been off the chart since last Christmas.
