 I am probably gonna think more about that 12 that I gave this, but gosh this is such a strong start of a season This was my winner since the first time I've heard it, and I was so thrilled to hear that it won, just kFSDFDSKDSFKSDP^ÅSDKFÅSDGÅPSS The song is so nostalgic, and it really feels like it's taking me out for an adventure. and his vocals are stunning magnificent live. Fantastic choice, Albania Now, of course I am scared of what they will do with the revamp, as the song is 4:30+ long, so 1/3 of the song is gonna have to be cut off, but atm, I am gonna look at the positive side, and continue cherish this song as it is now  |

  I really like it, but it's not a song for 12 points from me yet, but it might grow on me with more listens since it's really good and I also like the exotic vibe it gives kinda curious about how will the reavmp look tbh  (also, since I'm listening to the song right now I already feel like I'll change my points to 12 really soon but let's leave it with 10 so far) |

Starting off (as every year ups)with the Albanian entry, this national selection kicked off with a lot of variety that I wasn't really expecting it. This country throughout the years had been hit or miss to me, so I wasn't expecting a winner I'd actually love (which was mainly my top 2 in this case), especially with many songs being overhyped by a lot of people.
Boy, I was wrong.
Mall, in itself, gives you that cozy feeling, like you feel in a campfire or on a trip into the woods if you'd want to say so. The chorus begins a little bit more upbeat, and it somehow drags you into that feeling that the song conveys.
My point of view regarding this song?
I'll be forever grateful for this winning over the oh so overhyped "Piedestal". Also, it's the first time since 2013 since Albania sends a male presence (okay, 2013 was a duo, but let's assume) and the last time they've sent a male singer was 2007. Also, I'm genuinely happy that Albania is going into a different direction outside the "female power ballads ruined by revamp" that was going on. Plus, he did mention in an interview he'll keep it in Albanian - so let's hope he keeps his promise. Plus, that live vocal was stellar, gotta give him props for that.
But the song is easily a 12 for me. Way to go, Albania, a great early Christmas present for some of us. |

I was really sure that the winner will be someone between Inis and Eugent, and while I find both really overrated, I was still rooting for Inis cause her song appeals to me more, but yeah as you can see it didn't really happen  About Eugent, I really can't say he's a bad singer, in fact he is a good singer, but his song is just nothing special to me. I feel that they wanted to go for a different direction in FiK, but in my opinion this song just lacks power and climax, and I'm sure it'll be forgotten in the Eurovision aswell, unless they make a good revamp to make it outstanding. |
