Noordvisie Song Festival 06 is selected as the selection that will determine who will go wave the Dutch flag at the upcoming edition of the North Vision Song Contest.
After Kati Ran getting the 18th place at the previous edition in
Sweden, it's time to select our next entrant for the next edition in 
Austria. AVROTROS has selected a total of 16 very different songs/artists. The show will be held in Studio 22 in the Media Park in Hilversum, Netherlands and will consist out of two semi finals, a so called second chance round & a grand final. The semis & the second chance round will be 100% televote while the final will be 50% Jury voting & 50% televote voting.
AVROTROS received a total of 992 songs this editon. As previously mentioned 16 songs were selected by a jury consisting out of 8 professional & respected musicians, the Head of Delegation & his Co-Head of Delegation. The 16 songs will be revealed on the 1st of December.
The jury panel will consist of 10 countries this edition. Everyone is able to apply for a jury spot. However in case a Co-HoD & a HoD both apply their votes will be combined. One spot will be saved for an associate broadcaster as we saw a huge support for Kati Ran last edition from all over the world even getting the famous 12 points from the RoW-vote & One spot will be saved for a Dutch jury consisting out of 5 Dutch musicians.
