Not only songs in national language but with a dialect from a region in the specific country.

+1 on the overused idea, that could be really fun.
I think another fun one could be a really weird voting system, like 20,17,14,12,10,8,6,5,4,3,2, & 1 (so you give 12 countries points apparently)

How about instead of voting for your favorite songs we vote for our most disliked songs and do a weird voting where the country with the least points wins

I have a crazier idea - not select only 1 theme, but more (for example: People have to exchange nations and then send the worst song from the nation they received which song must be in the country's official language).

My suggestion is to not go on making such huge changes. It is an anniversary edition and it should be a special one, and not a joke one. I gotta say I found some of the suggestions to be quite good. Others are rubbish. IMO overused songs is a good idea, but we have to be careful not to lean on joke acts. The idea I liked the most is to do songs in their own countrie’s language, although it wouldn’t change a thing for some countries (like USA, UK, Australia...) Bringing back everyone and making a huge (but organized) show is amazing. I think the”Groups” theme is lame and the one with only male competitors is not good at all, given the actual circumstances we are facing in the world regarding sexual harassment and gender inequality. I loved the idea of swapping countries for one edition only, but I think it should follow a random sorting process. It would be a mess if we all were to choose our favorite country and then have to get permission to swap and etc. it would take ages. So a sorting process would be nice, maybe with a few remarks like you can’t end up with a country of your own continent. I don’t know. Just a thought. But swapping is a fun and great idea and it will motivate us to pursue and understand more about other countries’ music scene. Finally, I will leave as a suggestion that each user may pick an artist (just the artist, not the song) for another country. It might be a chance for everyone to see your favorite foreign act that has never appeared in the contest. But again, with an organized process so everything is quick and efficient. Sorry about the long text. Cheers everyone. Let’s have an amazing contest!

Another suggestion to make the edition more exciting; negative points. They could be implemented for this edition in numerous ways:
a) Each country votes using -12, -10, -8 to -1 (their 10 least favorite songs) resulting in the least disliked/generally liked song winning; not necessarily the favorite. b) Each country as usual votes using 12, 10, 8-1, but also awards -1 to their least favorite. c) Each country as usual votes using 12, 10, 8-1, but also awards -1, -2, -3, -4, -5 to their five least favorite songs. d) Each country as usual votes using 12, 10, 8-1, but also awards -1, -1, -1, -1, -1 to five most disliked songs in any order.

Include a challenge rule for this edition: Everybody can choose any country. But be careful! Once you confirm with a country, anybody is still free to confirm with any country, including yours! A preliminary round would be organised in order to elect one contestant per country. The vote would be quite classical: all the songs implied in the preliminary round would be put together and everybody would give ... to his favourite songs (only restriction: you can't vote for a song of your country). We would obtain a ranking and for each country, the song with the highest amount of points would be qualified. So the choice of the country is very strategic: you can choose a small country with a higher chance to qualify for the rest of the competition (but eventually smaller chances to win) or a bigger country with a risk to be challenged and to be eliminated at the first stage of the competition. A strict control of overused songs would be implemented in order to avoid easy victories during the first round.

SVSC 30 • Format Poll To celebrate thirty editions of the Super Vision Song Contest, it was decided that the 30th edition will not have a participation limit, allowing anyone to join the contest. For one week, a total of nine countries suggested sixteen entries. The council shortlisted these 16 to just 6, taking into account the popularity and quality of each suggestion. Below you can see an brief explanation of the 6 suggestions:Additionally voting for 5 least favorite songs As usual, you would award 12, 10, 8-1 points to your ten favorite songs. This twist would mean you would award -5, -4, -3, -2, -1 to your five least. This would especially make the scoreboard more fun to watch. Awarding points to 12 countries This edition will have no country limit, meaning it'll have a wider range to vote for.Instead of voting for 10 countries as usual, you would vote for 12 countries. The system could be: 20 (favorite), 17, 14, 12, 10, 8, 6-1 (least favorite).Receiving random countriesInstead of participating as your usual or new country, you would be given a country via randomization upon confirming your participation. This would be done with Random.org, from a list of to-be-determined countries.Sending artists for other countries As usual, you'd still confirm with your chosen country. However, you would not be entitled to choose your own entrant. All participating countries would be required to choose an entrant for a randomized country. You can then choose your entry. Sending songs from 1970 to 1999Unlike the regular editions of the contest, where almost all the songs are from the 2010s, the edition would only allow songs from 1 January 1970 to 31 December 1999. While there aren't overused songs, worldwide hits may not be accepted. Sending songs in national language This would mean that every country would be obliged to send a song in one of their national languages, with dialects being allowed as well. English speaking countries would be encouraged to send a song in another language.
