So, as we know a lot of our fellow forum members are non-native English speakers but on the forum the language used commonly is English, I've always wondered to myself - was it hard for you to learn to speak English, especially those of you who's native language is a Germanic language?

Not for me but English is still hard for native speakers also.

English can be a hard language for those not used to it, we have some many words meaning the same thing...it can become confusing. Plus there's plenty of slang in all parts of the United Kingdom so it makes it even more of a challenge.

Not really maybe because i am Dutch but English isn't hard to speak or wright

Still can laugh about my friends and even my parents cannot even say 'three' properly but more like 'tree' etc.
