15th is not a bad placing considering my country's history in the contest. Thank you for the points! This was literally the only song this edition I saw winning regardless of my taste, so I saw the win coming. I gave it though, so the victory is well deserved. Congrats, Spain! Send a Spanish diva, and you might get a good result. I'm indifferent to most of the results since I found this edition a little lackluster in general. Perhaps the year restriction contributed to that.

I personally expected to do much better with Aygün Kazımova considering that her previous entries were liked a lot and the song was extremely popular in Azerbaijan. It's interesting - sometimes a song that almost no one knows - such as Industrial revolution by Mechanic Fist hits top 5 and on the other hand, such a big hit in Azerbaijan gets the bottom 5 spot. Perhaps, the way your compatriots and foreigners feel about certain songs differ significantly. The winner, however, is not really surprising. Congratulations to Ivan for the victory! Even though I would love to see Mexico and France much higher - they did better than I expected, I am therefore happy for both of these countries as well! It was mesmerizing to hear two different songs from the movies of arthouse film movement. Amores Perros, especially, has been one of the very first movies of the period that I was growing this 'cinephile' feeling inside. (even though I developed an antipathy for Alejandro González Iñárritu after he moved a bit to popular culture with 'The Revenant') Sofia Coppola is also a talented movie director, but since the movies of both directors mostly do not apply to everyone's tastes, but only to a certain category of people's, it's kind of understandable why the songs engendered polarized views among participants. Apart from that, I found Croatia criminally underrated, whereas Switzerland, Slovenia, South Korea and Taiwan are the most overrated entries in my opinion. I am, all in all, happy that this decade I've reached my most successful result with 4 top 10 positions out of 10 and am able to compete in awards category twice. Finally, I am thankful to everyone for the points awarded to me (especially Brazil for and Romania for ) Good luck in awards and afterwards, see you all in Spain!

I don't like everything either by Sofia Coppola. According to me, her Marie-Antoinette was quite a flop, but I really enjoyed The Virgin Suicides (my favourite by her and my second favourite with Kirsten Dunst after Melancholia) and Lost in Translation (with the unexpected but great duo Bill Murray-Scarlett Johansson - is there a film genre that she can't play?). But as an actress and the daughter of a great film director, she developed a quite rare quality: she knows exactly the result that she wants to obtain and she knows how to get it.
