wtf that's your personal opinion likes/dislikes/views don't mean shit when Israel clearly emerged as the winner of the contest P.S. Greece was shit live get over it +1 I mean, let's be polite now, heads are already cooled down. Let's see comments on Eurovision social media pages, everyone hates the song. Let's see Youtube like/dislike ratio, 132000 likes, 250000 dislikes. Eurovision will be held in Jerusalem. Something is very suspicious here, really. There were at least 10 better songs, but still manages to win easily. Even had way better song, and they couldn't even reach the final. I can really see at least 6 or 7 countries withdraw, and we'll see what happens in 2020. it's not like Israel surprisingly won, they were the favourites waaaaaaaaaaaaaay ahead of the actual contest already so there's nothing suspicious to me gurl

So can't participate because they are only an associate member of EBU but can. Now, look at the map under. Dark blue are full members of EBU, and light blue are associate members. Someone here is telling us that are not in Europe and they still participate. Yes, but they are a FULL member of EBU. Either should be allowed to participate, or should gtfo of Eurovision. Btw, I hope will not participate in Israel next year, will not participate 4 sure, and I can see more countries withdrawing, leaving the number of participants around 30, so doesn't spend its money on organising two semi-finals. Since this seems to be directed at me, I'm gonna answer it. I'm gonna repeat myself here, but Australia is getting INVITED to participate every year by the EBU. If they are not invited they CAN NOT participate because, just like Kazakhstan, they are not a part of the European Broadcasting Area and therefore not eligible to become a full member. In 2015 the EBU decided to invite Australia to participate in the 60th Eurovision Song Contest as a "gift" for the long interest in the contest. After that, every year, the EBU and the hosting broadcaster both decided to invite Australia to participate for that year. This year is no different, if KAN and the EBU decide against an invitation for Australia, they can not participate. If they WERE a full member they could still participate (it would be weird to participate without an invitation but I think it is possible for full members), but not as an Associate Member. The EBU and KAN could even invite other Associate Member like the United States, Bangladesh, Mauritius or India for example. At the end of the day it is up to the EBU and the hosting broadcaster to decide which, if any, of the Associate Members will be invited to participate, however I don't think that the Australian participation will come to an end anytime soon because they have qualified every single time they participated and score overall good results. The participation will probably only be terminated when 45 full members confirm their participation, therefore reaching the participation limit.

Btw, I hope will not participate in Israel next year well sis you're going off of a comment by a man who has absolutely no influence on our participation (and he won't even be lord mayor later this year), so if you want to believe it 100% that's fine xxx
Israel won it fair and square. What, are you going to say "ban televoting!!!!111" this year and then next year when the juries pick a "crappy" song as the winner you'll ban them? You can't have it both ways, this goes for everyone with comments like this. Also I read the comment about Greece, I'm sorry but it came nowhere near to Israel performance wise. The song won due to televotes in the end, so that brings me back to my first question, are you going to want the EBU to take away the votes of the people? Because in the end, the people decided and they decided that Israel was the winner, but ye ye w/e huns you'll all be watching next year as usual. That's the thing I find weird about people who say they'll never watch Eurovision again and then yet when it comes to that time of the year, they are having a party.. nice ^^

I have nothing against Jerusalem but it already hosted twice. Sorry, but I'll probably never understand this reason. I love that we are united in demanding Tel Aviv as host city. I've tried to ask why not Tel Aviv all over FB, and I can't get a clear reason from anybody. Does Tel Aviv not want to be the center of attention when it's essentially the party capital of Israel? Not only would it be livelier, it would also be safer. And yes, can we get Gal Gadot to host? That would be so cool! I have heard/read that the price level is little bit higher than in Helsinki. Isn't Finland already an expensive country?

I have heard/read that the price level is little bit higher than in Helsinki. Isn't Finland already an expensive country? It is but it isn't really a surprise because Tel Aviv is a popular city for tourists (I guess). The price level kinda reduces my interest to go there, especially as it's far from my country (and I doubt the contest is even going to be held in Tel Aviv).
