Why can't you hold me in the street? Why can't I kiss you on the dance floor?

eurovoix.com/2018/05/15/eurovision19-shabbat-cannot-be-an-issue-for-the-eurovision-song-contest/"Eurovision’19: Shabbat Cannot Be An Issue For the Eurovision Song Contest" According to Jewish religious law Shabbat is observed from a few minutes before sunset on Friday evening until the appearance of three stars in the sky on Saturday night. This would mean that rehearsals would be unable to take place on Friday night until the live broadcast of the Grand Final on the Saturday evening from 22:00 local time.

It apparently looks like Liechtenstein is indeed about to join. Honestly I think they shouldn't. I mean look at San Marino. They're so going to be like them.

Edit: Also question to Israeli people, wouldn't Tel Aviv be safer than Jerusalem anyway? idk 🤔 I must say that both eurofans and the Israelis who want Jerusalem to host just to trigger the world and/or to prove that Jerusalem is the official capital of Israel and some other political shit like that are completely exaggarating. Israel is not how it looks like in the news. Yes, Jerusalem isn't 100% safe and there are many more safer places which should host, but come on, nothing is gonna happen in ESC 2019 whether it's in Jerusalem or in Tel Aviv. Now, Eilat has no sea nor a stadium to host the contest, which rules them off as both a tourist spot and a host city for 2019. Are you sure about that? And how the fuck did you think that Rosh Pina can even be a candidate to host the contest. Is it still like that nowadays? Talking about West Jerusalem, obviously. For the most part, people in Israeli administration Jerusalem don't drive, buy, sell, use electricity or shower between Friday evening and Saturday night. It's not like that nowadays. Even tho Jerusalem is a giant religious center, and having a giant Jewish religious population, most of the people do buy, sell, use electricity or shower between Friday evening and Saturday night. For the record, I don't want ESC to be hosted in Jerusalem for the following reasons: 1. It's a dumb political game and I don't understand what is the need to always prove that Jerusalem is the capital and the most important city and so on, it will stay the capital with or without hosting ESC 2019. + it might cause a giant boycott and I don't really want that lol. 2. Tel Aviv and even Haifa fit more for hosting. Both have an airport and have a way younger and cooler atmosphere. Gay parties > Archeological findings. 3. I hate Jerusalem with passion since I was like born lol. This city is a giant mess, it's far from everything, has a lot of religious people (and I don't really like them), and is the main reason for our disputes. But just to clarify: EVEN IF JERUSALEM GETS TO HOST ESC 2019 YOU WON'T DIE TRAVELING THERE. STOP EXAGGERATING IN EVERY WAY POSSIBLE.

I doubt they'll take Eilat to host it because of its geographic location. And Rosh Pina was a joke lol. Anyway, Jerusalem fucking sucks and I think in terms of improving the tourism here, they'll go for Haifa or Tel Aviv. Just don't assume it's in Jerusalem, already, guaranteed.

Well we won't know if they will not try Well yeah obvs. That's just how I see it, but I actually find it quite realistic. However I'd have a laugh out if they'd be much more successful than San Marino.

At least San Marino will stop with the excuse "Eurovision is not for small countries like us" ^ This! What I find the weirdest about that excuse is that they used it for a few years now, but it feels like they don't believe in it themselves. I mean San Marino didn't miss any contest since 2010.
