So if anyone else'd have won and succeeded in Eurovision it won't make it more popular?

Everyone tastes but it's still important that the French love their song or for them eurovision will be bad for them, because in France eurovision is unpopular and seen as old but if bilal participates and well it will make popular eurovision in France! That's why since 2016 France 2 is usually winning the fight against TF1 in the evening of the Eurovision Final

for now He was my fav in the final and I have a feeling he will do well in Tel Aviv Also @ people saying he's a copy of Conchita, Bilal doesn't perform as some other persona, it's just himself

Hmm... I find it interesting that the maximum amount of points a song could've gotten from the juries is 120 points.
In contrast, the public vote is so flexible because it's applying the percentage of votes into a pool of 420 points, allowing the potential for one song to score more than 120, which was the case in this NS. Bilal scored 150 points from the French public. The jury's favorite Seemone would not even win even with the maximum 120 points from the jury (In this case, she would've scored at least 180 points, still not enough to beat Bilal's 200). Essentially, the public vote had a more powerful contribution to the results. Bilal demolished everyone else in the public vote since his score was more than half that of Chimene's.

I really like the production but can't get on board with anything else because the lyrics are basic and cliche and pretty much ruin everything else. This is giving me discount Conchita 2012 vibes and I will not be pleased if he uses his image to cause controversy and get votes. A step down from your 4 previous entries that were all great, France
