All the songs are really nice, but isn't Maria's song a duplicate to this one, that participated in Lithuanian ESC selection? youtu.be/qPUBNVlS4BE thanks for telling me.

MORE ANNOUNCEMENTS
Well, 2 songs on the original list had to be changed - one because it was a cover, and another (that hasn't been revealed yet) due to confusion. 2 replacements were sent to the NBU and are awaiting approval - they won't be announced for now. Sorry about this.
But we can reveal the rest of the songs; just know that María Ólafs will no longer participate in the selection. Also, we're about to find out where the foreign act is from, and there's a clear winner from the poll, so let's see!
ACT 5
BLISSFUL - Find a Way
You may recognize this act - they participated in the last edition of Söngvakeppnin, will they take it all the way now and go to Morocco?
ACT 6
Thorsteinn Einarsson - Galaxy
Thorsteinn is originally Icelandic, but has since moved to Austria and his career is based there. Despite him considering to try represent Austria, he took the opportunity to try represent his home country instead.
ACT 7
Greta Salóme - My Blues
Greta won the first edition of North Vision Song Contest and has since tried to represent her country again, most recently in #23. This time she'll try once again - and this time with an appearance of Hafþór Júlíus Björnsson, a.k.a. "the mountain". Can she be the second Icelandic act to take part twice?
ACT 8
Steinar - The mind is like the moon
Steinar represented his country in the 6th edition with his song "Up". Now he will attempt to represent his country once more!
The remaining 2 Icelandic acts will be revealed soon. We apologize for the inconvenience.
Foreign act
Alright, so the poll results indicate that the majority of you think the FA is from Greenland. Well, RÚV can confirm that it is indeed correct. RÚV decided to give a Greenlandic singer the chance to compete in the Icelandic national selection, should they have no plans to try represent Denmark in the contest. After negotiations between RÚV and DR, we can confirm that the foreign act will be:
Malu Rohmann - Motherland
Malu is a singer from Nuuk, Greenland. She has released songs on her Soundcloud a few years ago, and has recently released her song To Be or Not to Be in December 2017. However, for the Icelandic selection, she submitted her song "Motherland". The singer will be automatically qualified into the final.
RÚV originally planned to do the draw for the battles, but due to problems this will have to wait for now. We hope to start the selection by tomorrow or Tuesday.

I added a poll where you can guess which country the FA is from. The prize for getting it right? Well, there is none. It's just a little game to play as you wait (and the NBU council already knows, hihi) at this.
