Don't let a cyber bully put you off making videos. He's saying that you're copying his contest? That's pathetic. I don't understand why he's picking on you when there are a number of different contests on YouTube. Sure, maybe he was one of the first people to create a contest, but that doesn't mean that he's the only person on the internet that's allowed to make one. The way I see it, only 2 things matter. The first thing is that you enjoy making videos. A lot of us know that it takes a lot of time and effort to make a video, and it's even harder to make a contest. But as long as you enjoy making videos then that's all that matters! Secondly as far as I know, this is the first contest that's based on Asian music making it a unique contest. The majority of people making online contests are from Europe and are Eurovision fans, so it's nice to hear music from different continents! Plus you have a lot of support from a number of people on YouTube, if he's threatening you then we've got your back! You've received a lot of support for your contest, don't let one guy put you off! Just block him and continue doing what you love ^^ Thank you so much ESCJessicaUK. You're definitely right! I love Eurovision, I love editing and I love what I'm doing even if I should be doing other things.

He should feel flattered! If he's sending you nasty messages then he must see your contest as a threat

Okay, I copied the format but do I deserve all the swears and all. No, you didn't copy his work. If he really thought that you copied his work then he should've sent you a message about it (without being aggressive.) Sure, the format might be quite similar, but plenty of contests have similar formats. If he was really bothered with it then maybe you could've come to some kind of agreement by writing in the description "Inspired by ____", but personally I don't think you should even have to do that

When I seen his pathetic comment to you I looked on his video and most if not all of his songs were either European or North American... your contest is Asian specialist-based and it's a shame if it is to be lost because it's kind of educating for myself and other European members here to experience music from an entire different continent - which is something we don't get in Europe, it's hard enough for us in the UK to even discover music from European countries let alone countries like Thailand or India etc
You should not be faced with such disgusting comments that this guy has made and I for one would agree with others and ban him from your contacts list allowing for you to be happy and continue with what you love doing.
Just because you had the same colour background does not mean that your copying his design, there are many designs out there in the world and he is being picky and generally does not seem like a nice person.
I totally agree with ESCJessicaUK - you shouldn't have to be victimised for making this contest and if he was really upset about it he could have been rational and spoken to you via a private message, not going all guns blazing and saying such pathetic and low-life comments to you!

OMG. Look what he said to me about the contests I told him:
- Imagine Song Contest: Same interface than mine, a green video in the background, etc. No videos.
- Ourvision Song Contest (it's currently standby): Singers and countries don't match (Pink for Lithuania?! WTF?) Terrible graphics.
- OK Song Contest Singers and countries don't match (September for Slovenia?! WTF?) Terrible graphics.
- Widevision Song Contest Singers and countries don't match (Ivi Adamou for Bulgaria?! WTF?) Terrible graphics.
- Fabulous Song Contest Singers and countries don't match (Medina for Chile?! WTF?) REALLY terrible graphics.
- Astounding Song Contest Another contest with typical American singers, bad graphics, no videos in the recap...
SO... where are the good contests? I don't find them, sorry.

Thanks guys and I thoroughly re-examined the video I made and the video he recently made. He said I copied his format, design, etc. but I got the moving background thing from our former professor exclusively from her company (of course with proper consent), and I didn't steal his design, the music video of the winner of the last edition was shown as his shows all of the contest winners in his entire line-up of editions, the transition to every song in his contest was commenced by the moving angular thingies (I don't exactly know what to call them) while mine was a simple crossfade from one song to another. However, both our contest features the appearance of the draw number, song and artist's name first before the country's name crossfades 1-3 seconds after and both our contests have the Facebook and Twitter introduction. Yes, ESCJessicaUK was totally right, we may have some similarities but I never copied whatever he's saying I copied. So in my conclusion, I never really copied anything from him, I was only inspired that my contest almost looked like his.
Plus, he said it himself, he learned all of whatever he does 4 or something years before he achieved that while I learned to make my contest myself without seeking any help from other contest managers. Technically speaking, I own every single part of the video (except the MVs and all) which makes my video a NOT COPIED version at all!
