WWW Song Contest #63

I'm out, but I can really live with it this time as I absolutely expected it. Still thanks to the people who voted for me (if there are any ). However due to me being very original this time I had some hopes that I may get the wildcard to the Second chance round, but then again I'm not able to get this.


The rest of the results of my semi aren't bad, but neither that good (but I mean the semi wasn't either. ). From my ... uhm top 10 4 entries made it directly and two more are in the Wildcard round. The only ones I find underrated are Belgium and Croatia whereas I'm not sure if I understand the qualifications of India (although it's a beautiful song, I must say), Australia and Ireland. However at least the last one was very expected. On the other hand I'm actually surprised that Romania didn't make it directly.

In the first semi I'm pleasantly surprised that Germany survived while Austria and Poland are overrated imo. Additionally  Italy + Slovenia + Israel aren't very surprising finalists. USA is overrated too and Finland and Latvia are surprising me.



And in the second semi is  Brazil overrated and Serbia plus UK two more pleasant surprises. Greece and Iceland Czech Republic are both rather overrated as well, but I didn't care about them anyway.
The ones I'll miss the most from this semi are Mexico and Azerbaijan.

It's once again my favourite of the whole edition - USA (Chelsea Wolfe with Feral Love) failed to qualify to the final. I would also like to see The Netherlands in the final, however, as I've mentioned in the Dutch national selection, I was expecting it not to do well. I am positively surprised by the direct qualifications of my top3 from the semi-final, quite unexpected yet beautiful results. However, voting in the second chance round was very tough for me as I did not like any song apart from the two mentioned above. Nevertheless, I want to congratulate Luxembourg, Slovakia and South Korea on the occasion of making to the Grand Final!
