WWW Song Contest #63

This will be a probably very long post.

Summer is coming (or at least supposed to be). So what about sending another summer song? And it's the probably most summerly (and by far most creative) song I've ever sent.
Without much more talking this is my entry:


Freak n'Traveller - Mia Cara




And I guess I have to explain this:

Mia Cara is a song that's coming literally out of the TV. In 2016 and 2017 there was a weekly TV show where famous musicians got paired up and then they have to make a song together in only 48 hours. Sounds interesting, but I managed to watch exactly 0 episodes. However I did see this one yesterday (no joke!) on the internet just to actually be more familiar with what's happened.

In 2017's edition the two very famous producers Chris von Rohr and Roman Camenzind took on the task. They've done it on a beautiful day and the initial idea was to go to the lakeside of Zurich to "Try to catch the feeling of that day and summer in general". And as they both aren't singers, people there were asked to sing a few words. And the result is an actually quite catchy tune with cute lyrics which one can love and enjoy no matter who you are or where you're from.

The final song includes such things like:
Words in Italian, Spanish, French, Portuguese and English (these are at least the ones I recognize myself), the laugh of a woman, the bells of a few bikes and I think some birds can be heard as well.

Fun fact: It's not really shown here, but the guy at 1:42 (who's getting kissed) went almost crazy about meeting them.


Both guys are really famous and have actually already competed in both WWWSC and Retro WWWSC before. In both cases I've sent a few songs they produced, but also the band they first became known.
Roman began his career as part of the band Subzonic who I've sent to Retro WWWSC #8 and later produced lots of hits. The most prominent one here is probably Pegasus' Skyline which was in the 47th edition of the main contest.
Chris is part of the rock band Krokus who were in the 38th edition of the Retro contest and among the artists he produced are acts like Gotthard. That means he's something to do with the winning song of Retro WWWSC #34.
