KATSYRIAN NEWSKyúnttropia's independence discussed in Katsyrian plenaryPalmyra, 14 February 2023 "Katsyria is ready to provide all kinds of support for the peace and stability of the new nation and to make the necessary contribution if requested by the parties." said Katerina Graham, the president of Katsyria at a news conference in Palmyra." We hope to have further discussions with the official representatives of the new declared country, a process that will hopefully result in a way that ensures the country's lasting peace and stability," she said.
Katsyria will make efforts to ensure that Kyúnttropia reaches the position it deserves in the international arena, Graham said, adding: "In this regard, we support Kyúnttropia's vision to join any alliances in the future."
Besides political relations, Graham also said that the nation of Katsyria will help the new country in the fields of economy, trade, energy and even defense industry, due to our great relations with Scandavia as well.
About economic relations, Graham said that the Katsyrian government considers implementing a free trade agreement with Kyúnttropia and also allow easy movement of the citizens between both states.

President Egilsdóttir is not stepping down, and states that anyone who thought she would is "a silly goose"
Rumours that the President of Dýria, Ingibjörg Egilsdóttir, will be stepping down by the end of March 2023 have been spreading online and in notable print media after she gave an interview in December 2022 with DRTV where she commented that she was "tired" of the job and "wanted to focus all her attention on fashion and her family". She did not state when she planned to step down, but that she was getting fed up with the job, even though the president has very little power and is more of a ceremonial figure than anything else. No president has ever resigned voluntarily during their term in Dýrian history. This came as a shock to many as her approval rating reached a new high of 81% in a January 2023 poll conducted by DRTV, and at the time of the interview it was sitting at 79%.
However, Ingibjörg, after receiving thousands of messages asking her about when she is resigning, has come out today to state that she will not be resigning from her post and that her comments were taken out of context by some "silly goose" working at DRTV. She clarified her comments that she made about being fed up with the job by stating that:
I was fed up with my routine as president - I always gave myself little time to focus on myself and my hobbies which I shouldn't have done. The presidential position is not a strenuous task, so I have allowed myself to spend more time on my hobbies and family, especially my fashion line Ingitískú (IngiFashion).
Anyone who thought I was actually resigning is a silly goose. Of course I still love you but that is very goofy behaviour. Anyways!
President Egilsdóttir was elected for the first time in 2016, and then re-elected unopposed in 2021. She will remain in office until May 2026, as the Dýrian constitution does not allow presidents to serve a third term.
Line C of the DART is finally open to the public after 7 years of construction, is Sjóborg next?
Line C of the Dyflinnjaborg Area Rapid Transport system has finally opened to the public, with a mix of underground and over ground stations. The line was given planning permission back in 2013 by the government, and construction began in 2016 to build the 6 new stations that will connect the towns of Goulwena and Beartúin with the western suburbs of Dyflinnjaborg. The line is seen as crucial to those who live in those areas, as they now have a quicker and faster connection with the city centre, as passengers can either board at Goulwena and catch Line A, or change at Beartúin to catch Line B, which connects the northern suburbs of Dyflinnjaborg with the city centre. The Taoiseach, Sinéad Kýosdóttir, was at Goulwena station this morning to open the line to the public. Tickets are free of charge, as in 2022 the government announced that public transport would become free for everyone and on all public transport services across the country on January 1st 2023.
With the opening of Line C in Dyflinnjaborg, the government has also approved funding for a similar but smaller transport system to be built in the city of Sjóborg, the 2nd largest and quickly growing city of Dýria. It is estimated that this transport system will be extremely beneficial to connect the city of Sjóborg with more isolated areas of Sjóland, and will provide direct connections to the city centre plus airport. Despite funding being approved, construction is not expected to start until at least 2026, with the actual line opening in the 2030s. In the meantime, the government has also pledged to invest more in public transport, especially to more remote areas of the country, and has already pledged more frequent and efficient bus services in the cities of Tráway and Naoned, the 3rd and 4th largest respectively.
Dýria will not recognize Kyúnttropia
And the last news story for today, Dýria has announced that they will not be recognizing the newly claimed nation of Kyúnttropia for the time being. Speaking at a hearing of Kyúnttropia today in the Alþingi, the Taoiseach announced that her government could not recognize the entity right now, stating that it was not the right time while also recognizing the self-determination of the people living there. She has stated that until more international negotiations are held, possibly within the United Nations, Dýria would not be able to offer recognition of the territory, and that no diplomatic missions/relations would be set up.

While the city is still in its early stages of development, plans for cultural buildings, arenas, high-rise residential buildings and several other public goods are in the making. It’s an absolute miracle! We came on this island with nothing but our strive for freedom. Just look at everything we have built so far. Freitag-Schwarz also expresses gratitude to nations who have recognised Kyúnttropia in any way, shape or form.
An international airport is currently in the works. Meanwhile though, a helicopter pad has been founded temporarily. Kyúnttropia's beloved pop-star Davina Michelle opened the helicopter pad with a musical show!

As an effort from the federation to provide all necessary support for all inhabitants, without having the need for them to go to either Pavlodia (at the west side of the country) or Milnev (at the east side), the government launched a few months ago, the "Plan Argenta", named after the capital and largest of Iciya, Argenta.
The city of Argenta (in Grey), around its 3 neighboring territories.
The city, home to almost a million Lakadamians, was set to become the third federal city of the Federation, and a base for all governments suport in Central Lakadamia. The decision to pick Argenta as the third federal city was due to its status of being the largest Lakophone city in the region, and also located at the border of 3 territories: Swarrel, Iciya and Shisaka. Economically, the city is also known as the "Gambling Capital of Lakadamia" due to its numeros Casinos within the center of the town. However, for the past years, the city has been trying to diversity its economy, mostly due to the gambling industry getting more and more restriction from the government.
Since the start of 2023, the city was granted territorial independence, to act its separation from the territory of Iciya, however, it was not until the 16th of February that the city has been granted the status of "Federal City of Lakadamia", following the opening of a few governments buildings.

The Télévision Radio de Lakadamia, Lakadamia's public broadcaster, is set to rebrand during 2023, as announced in January by the TRLK Director, Laurence Vannier. The major difference between the previous logo is the size of the T of the TRLK, instead of being larger, it is now set at the same size than the other 3 letters.
The previous logo, used between 2015 and 2022.

The rebrand will also concerns all of the channels of the TRLK, as for example, the channels logo will be changing from an hexagon shaped logo, to a square, example with the logo of the TRLK 1, TRLK's main channel and most viewed channel in Lakadamia:

(Achróan Gazette) Huge rallies in support of Kyúnttropia take place in Trangueli as global pressure to take a stance increasesTrangueli, 18 FebLarge numbers of Achróans have taken to the streets of Trangueli, the archipelago's main city, and other settlements across the country to express their support for the people and institutions of Kyúnttropia, as pressure mounts across Fantasia to take action regarding the nation.
Achróa's government and populace are among the most ardent supporters of Kyúnttropia - as early as January 2023 a spokeperson for Achróa's Leader, Ainia d'Loralat, expressed the government's support for Kyúnttropian autonomy. As it became clearer that Kyúnttropian autonomy was being diminished by numerous Fantasian nations, Achróa became the first country to officially recognise Kyúnttropia as a sovereign nation on 6 February. The nation has since taken more steps to bolster worldwide recognition of Kyúnttropians, including by creating legislature that allows Kyúnttropians to receive unique consular assistance in Achróa.
Many people in Achróa recognise the parallels they have with the Kyúnttropian people. The archipelago nation was formed as Achróans in the Fantasian mainland faced statelessness, persecution and prejudice - leading many to flee the mainland for sparsely inhabited and unclaimed islands in Tritonia, either by force or reluctant choice.
Achróans don't want to see history being repeated. "Let them have their land" was one of the leading chants, offering a direct challenge to the Bielefeldesque treatment that certain Fantasian nations have espoused upon Kyúnttropia. One protester said: "We cannot allow these global superpowers to wash over a whole culture for their own benefit!" It is universally agreed in Achróa that Kýunttropia's land and livelihood is situated southwest of Lakadamia.
Furthermore, the protests have expanded in Achróa to be a call against the "reclócló" - an Achróan pejorative constructed word for "world order." Many Achróans see globalisation as regulated solely by the superpowers of Fantasia, leaving no room for contribution by smaller nations such as Achróa who are directly affected by the foreign policies of said nations.
In response to the pro-Kyúnttropian rallies and anti-globalisation protests, Achróa's government says it will provide humanitarian aid to Kyúnttropia in the form of food, shelter and raw materials to assist the creation of self-sustaining infrastructure. More controversially, Achróa will suspend its funding and hike up rents for the living quarters reserved to anti-Kyúnttropian foreign military and intelligence employees in the UN's camp in Fort Gila on the island of Verançel. As the living quarters are situated outside of UN jurisdiction, Achróa has full control over them. It is understood that - for now - Dýrians, the Julianoise, Lakadamians, the Nineliese, Qasentrians, Scandavians, Werdianans and Zylofonijans based in Fort Gila will be affected - should they have any staff there*.
* Addendum 1: A Dýrian government official has informed the Achróan government in an aide-mémoire that they have no staff in Fort Gila. It has since been clarified by the Achróan government that funding cuts will only be applicable to staff who are in Fort Gila, and not in embassies across Achróa as of yet. Ergo, Dýrian diplomats and those of other aforementioned nationalities face no action at this time provided they do not reside in Fort Gila.
