By far the best of the night. What I first noticed in this was the instrumental - which is hauntingly great. Jonida has that kind of voice I usually adore as well, which seemed to have won me over.
The song however, as great as initially does sound, it lacks something. It seems to build and build all the way but without a moment to let out the whole power and all. Her voice live is also kinda shaky, and I hope she'll work hard to improve it. The song needs a revamp, but considering Albania, I fear for the worst, even if with they did amazingly well with Mall last year.
Also, hun, keep it in Albanian, please, thanks

-------------------------------------------------------------------- ▲▼▲▼▲▼▲▼▲▼△▽ // Very Good--------------------------------------------------------------------What can I say? A very good start to the 2019 season. Ktheju tokës has a very ancient, balkan feel to it, and all of it works very well together, and flows perfectly with the Albanian language (which she said she will keep for Eurovision, woo). I also adore the fact that the first chorus basically never ends, but it keeps adding components to it, making each moment of the chorus an actual experience, and not repetitive. As for her voice? I really like it. It's hard to judge it during FiK, considering the low quality at some parts, but overall, I can see her deliver this on stage in Tel Aviv.
Of course, I would love to award this a , but there is just something missing for that final step, and it doesn't seem like I'm the only one seeing this (looking at the poll and the past comments), but I can see a small revamp coming, looking at how Jonida seem to want both dancers + choir in her performance (pre-chorus 1, chorus 2), and I can only hope they can tweak it enough for those remaining two points.
Can it qualify? Perhaps. It's quite hard determining how this will do this early and when there's no allocation draw, but judging by the song alone, I would definitely not put this as a non-qualifier as early as now. It will all come to what RTSH and Jonida will do with the song as a song & performance + who they have in their semi, but as of now, if they can get their stuff together, Ktheju tokës definitely has its chances.Overall? A great successor to Eugent Bushpepa's Mall. Even tho Mall probably stands out more, there's no doubt that Ktheju tokës knows what its doing, and they're doing it exceptionally well. A big good luck to Jonida and Albania through their Eurovision 2019 journey!

Time for the Albanian fanboy to give his verdict.... I LOVE it. It takes a few listens for me to 'click' with a song, but I adored this on a first listen and this was my first place by miles. I've been a fan of Jonida's since all the way back in 2014 so when her name popped up on the list of participants I knew I was in for a treat. It has a very authentic and anthemic feel to it, but is also very ethnic which is wonderful. Now knowing this is staying in Albanian, this makes it feel a lot more personal which will help in the message's deliverance. I know people were criticising the staging, but Festivali I Kenges has never been about the staging. I also have to commend RTSH for making an effort to shift FiK to complement Eurovision a little better without losing its roots. It gets a lot of slack a lot of the time but you have to remember FiK does not exist to serve Eurovision; it was around 60 years before Albania even debuted. I thought to myself for a couple of minutes on what the staging could be like, and I think it would be an excellent idea to use the Albanian eagle (which is a big part of Albanian identity) and use that as a motif to convey the song's message of immigration and 'returning to the land', and envisioned fiery colours such as red, orange and gold. Perhaps Jonida could take a leaf or two out of Katniss Everdeen's costume for a dress heehee Overall, a really solid effort from Albania and their best song since 2015. I PRAY that the tweaks they make do not destroy the song. Here's to supporting Albania once again at ESC
