I gave it a 6, and after the first listen changed it to a 7. The day after it turned into an 8. Today I heard it again. What a fucking masterpiece. , damn it.

So let me explain what is going on in Slovenia right now. Every year people claim "who even watches EMA", "there's nothing good", "waste of money"... Even with all these remarks, it's one of the most watched shows in the country. Right behind ESC, during the time of our performance when it peaks! If we embarrass ourselves or do well, we want to be there for it and talk about it. Both super finalists were roasted hundreds of times over. And yes, Slovenian nation pretty much hates Raiven's song. Many said they prefer her other two attempts. I reckon many voted because they didn't like her. While all other competitors said the winners are great, only the singer of Inmate said that we need to become ballsy if we want a top 3 at ESC. Which is like the best thing anyone said. And even if no one watches, three days later everyone still talks about it. My opinion. As a huge fan of Raiven's, I'm of course disappointed with the result, but I'm noticing it would be number one love-hate song. I'm surprised she applied with Kaos exactly and not one of her other songs from her new EP. About her performance, it's clear she put a lot of effort into it. For the first time, there wasn't her harp and she had dancers. Vocally I had hoped for her "kaos" to sound softer. It seemed out of place. The whole thing might have looked like she tried a bit too hard (she wanted to put more effort this time). But clearly, she's still very young and has time to test different waters. Looking forward to seeing what she comes up with next, or next EMA And finally, the winners. They were in my top 4 of EMA. I discovered them back in 2017 when they debuted as a duet and I really liked their debut song. It might have been less risky than Raiven, but I still find it risky for a country like Slovenia. Could this be in the pile with Portugal 2017, 2018 and Lithuania 2018 or more like San Marino 2015 and be completely forgotten? Can it even be truly compared to anything? It has its good parts like atmosphere, mysticism, and gentleness. And its weaknesses like static performance, and they only look at each other like we're not there. Minimalism could go either way. We'll see what they come up with for the ESC performance.

------------------------------------------------------------ ▲▼▲▼▲▼▲▼▲▼▲▼ 12 // talented, brilliant, incredible, amazing, show stopping, spectacular, never the same, totally unique, completely not ever been done before, unafraid to reference or not reference, put it in a blender, shit on it, vomit on it, eat it, give birth to it, girl we going to ljubljana?------------------------------------------------------------ FIRST OF ALL, HUGE F TO RAIVEN WHO DIDN'T MAKE IT ALL THE WAY. BUT BESIDES THAT, YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAS.
This years EMA was honestly fantastic, and in the end, two of my main favourites entered the super final, and it was safe to say that Slovenia just became my new winner. Once again, saddened to see Raiven miss out on a victory once again, but I can understand why the Slovenians didn't get the grip of Kaos as a whole. But if there was any song Kaos should have lost against, it would be the winning entry from Zala & Gasper. Sebi is such a wonderfully composed song, with a lot of atmosphere and cozy vocals coming from the singer herself. One of my very first impressions upon hearing the song for the first time was how mesmerizing the song is as a whole, and it still contains the same magic afterwards.
One of my main concerns, however, is how the staging of the song would work, considering this sounds more like an ear-experience, rather than a song that could work on stage. Glad to say, this almost worked on stage. It had beautiful LEDs, and it really made the song sound as magical as if you were listening to it blind. On the other hand, camera angles is key for this performance to 100% work, and some of them didn't do a lot, + them staying so close to each other might make the whole thing look too stationary.
Besides that, gosh I cannot hate this whatsoever. I'm just happy to finally have Slovenia back on the top of my list like I used to in the past
Will it qualify to the finals? Perhaps. I might be a little bit biased, but I still believe in this song and it's potential. With a hypnotizing performance + perfect camera angles, Zala & Gasper could stand out, and grab onto some votes. But then again, it could get lost in the semi, or just completely lose interest to some audiences, but again, I have my belief in them to produce a wonderful performance.
Overall, Slovenia has proven themselves to me again why they've stayed as my favourite Eurovision country, and I'm glad to see them provide such fantastic entries again. I hope for the very best of luck to Zala Kralj, Gasper Santl, and Slovenia through out their Eurovision 2019 journey!
