 Qualifiers of the first show! The first show of the Georgian idol franchise for 2019, began on January 5th. 9 qualifiers advanced to the next stage of the idol contest. in no particular order, the qualifiers were as follows:

I know Giorgi Nakashidze thanks to his incredible cover of "Dream On". In my opinion, he is a solid singer and I would actually like him to represent our neighbour country. My compatriot,  Afik Navruzov is mostly known for his blind audition on a rap song in The Voice Turkey. I did not know he also applied to the Georgian National Selection, though. I do not really like him as a singer. |

Oto Nemsadze is off to Tel Aviv! Oto Nemsadze has been crowned the winner of Georgian Idol and will represent Georgia in the upcoming Eurovision Song Contest held in Tel Aviv, with his song "Sul Ts’In Iare"
