I know this was going on like this ages ago..but maybe a rule like 1 song per country should be added. I find it really sad just because someone has a bit weaker country and still sends an amazing song it isn't nominated because someone else has a country with amazing music industry and the top 50 is dominated by that country... maybe nominate in your opinion the best song for each country this year and then it is a bit more fair so everybody has a chance to win something like this...
Just an opinion...I'm not bitter that my songs aren't there..hell I am even thankful someone nominated any of my songs. But that's just my way of thinking.. sorry for posting bye.

pretty sure that if a song is ”amazing”, it would have enough fans to make it through to the top 50 overall.
and even if that song didn’t make it, it just so happens that the people prefered ~50 other strong entries compared to that one.
in the end, we’re trying to find the ”song of the year”, so suddenly shortening it for 1 per country would jusy ruin the purpose of it all, as it would be kinda unfair to have one song from e.g. slovenia make it through, when a lot of other people would have prefered an extra song or two from another.
eitherway, everything is nominated by the people, and there’s nothing we can do to stop that
