Is this a full forum thing ? As who decided who is in what category as a lot seems to be NVSC friend awards ?
I’m not causing drama but seems very one sided as I can’t in any of these categories and I’d like to be more involved than pushed away.

I've just done it. At some points, I actually agree with Darrell (especially in the design and winning songs) because I haven't even seen / heard of them (counts for other things as well... That's why I had to vote randomly in a few things (no I didn't notice that I could just skip...). No drama intended either obviously 
Omg! This sounds amazing.  Btw. I feel like the Song Contests category will so be owned by Nvsc.  10 editions. Around 600 entries. 3-4 dramas. All in one year. I think NNMC has a chance. But there are quite a few people, especially the "irrelevant" ones who think "Omg Nvsc is the best thing that ever happened to me." I'm exaggerating here obvs, but I think you know what I mean.
I am actually really curious based on what were people in “most tasteful” category got nominated. Almost all of them have the same music taste, basically representing just one music genre. That's why I voted for Jozef.  It's sad that I'm not there btw. :/
I think the nominations should been done on the forum, not just in the chat. Agree there although I could've seen it taking forever.
Never ever heard of that before! I mean ofc I did, but not here. |

I guess it is indeed a nice idea, however I don't think it is implemented in the way it should. Of course not intending to sound rude or whatsoever but I guess, just like other users have already pointed out, that it'd have been much better had the nominations and everything been done on the forum. Apart from the fact that it is a bit funny how just a few people in some chat decide who is nominated, it is also hard for people not in that chat to vote. For instance, you are asking people to vote for the best forum user. We might have indeed heard of those people before but I guess that voting for them should be based on some evidence. What I mean by that is that we should know what those people have done to be nominated, as many users do not follow every single thread of this forum. I also find the "Most Tasteful Forumer" category a bit silly as I guess everyone is supposed to have their own taste to which we can always agree or disagree but you can't really define a taste as 'good' or 'bad' as it is something completely subjective. It is also quite hard for people to vote for the most shocking scandal, as some of us don't even know what some of those things were about As I said, I am not trying to cause any drama or anything but I guess that having done the nominations in the forum and basically describing some of the nominations in some of the categories would have been much better and would have definitely helped people to decide their votes. In any case, I voted just for the very few things I knew or had heard of before since I didn't really have many choices lol |

It's sad, really.
The fact that Daniel actually tried to do something to end up the year nicely and some people already throwing rocks at this initiative is kinda tragic. Hell, the fact that y'all seem to take it seriously is probably the saddest thing, because this post was supposed to be something nice and not something people will use as excuse to make themselves the victims.
It just proves how some people only think about themselves and only themselves. Not the community as a whole. Hope you're happy. Because this whole mess you created basically won't make you look like a hero in this thing.

Some people are taking this way too seriously, for something that is supposed to be purely for fun. Seriously, Daniel took time from his free time to organize this, and this is such a nice way to react to it, just because you didn't get your way. This thread is locked for now. |
