I'd like to thank all the voters for the amazing 2nd place, it's another really great success with one of my favorite singers   Generally this decade has been amazing, it's the first one in the contest history where I've had two Top 3 positions (+ a 4th, 8th and 9th place and only one non-qualification); I'm happy that with both unknown and known acts Austrian music can do well and gets appreciated I'll try to keep it up in the next editions even if it'll be hard to repeat as the competition remains strong 
Having said that these results are kind of remarkable, as the gap between 2nd/3rd and 20th place is almost non-existent. Needing 100 points for the Top 20 and only 32 points between 20th and 3rd... I don't think we have had that before   The points are not spread at all so it became rather random who's higher and who's a bit lower  Also I want to congratulate  Costa Rica on their victory! After being very close shortly ago they made it this time! Always nice to see new countries win  Thanks to all who participated and hopefully see you again next time  |

Congratz to the winner!  Weird results for me... barely make it in SCR, win SCR, meh in the final... if you look closely, you can notice that SCR top 3 finished in reverse order in final (which was predictable).. I'm wondering about Jasna's votes (for the SCR top3) - 10 for me in SCR, 8 to Samoa, 7 to Sweden. In final - 10 to Samoa, 7 to Sweden, 4 to Latvia... what happened in those few days between SCR and final voting? Sweden & Samoa stay the same or improve, but for Musiqq all goes wrong... Such a big drop is quite unexpected, especially knowing that you like (or at least liked) Musiqq...  I would have no questions if all 3 countries mentioned above would drop equally, because that's how you'd expect it to happen, but this is really surprising... P.S. No offence, Laurinda Jasna, I'm not questioning your music taste or something, I'm just curious to know what could've possibly go wrong?  If you don't want, you don't have to answer (because I can't force an answer from anyone), but if you could, I would really appreciate that Lol, what can I say...
The voting is done on different days and my feelings just happened to be different in these cases. Songs grow on me, in this case, Swedish song did quite clearly. Samoa was my 12 points in SF and it was close between Latvia and Samoa. I might have wanted Musiqq to qualify and gave it higher points. As for being a fan of Musiqq, it's true, but this is not one of my favourite songs from them.
I could do the same. Almost winning the semi and then not even in the top 10?? Hehe. Oh well.
It's not personal. It happened this way, I understand your disappointment. Fair enough! No hard feelings! I would be disappoited if it would've changed something big, like, for example, if my song would've fought for win and based on votes like these suddenly it would lose the fight... but as I was barely fighting for top20, then I'm not disappointed. I was just surprised. That's why I asked. |

I got very mixed feelings about the results. I mean congrats to  Costa Rica for the win (I kinda liked the song) and everyone else for their result.  lol that went fast.  Belgium and  Bulgaria are very overrated imo. And the most underrated songs are definitely  Taiwan and  the Netherlands for now.
 Back to the bottom places again. Anyway thanks for 35 points. Fifi I'm very disappointed btw. I gave you the  (which you now owe me btw) and get  in return?  |

Slight Rules Modification Further to some of the survey results which suggested we should make things a bit stricter in the topic of replacers, from next edition on, we have decided that there are 2 slight modifications that should be made in the rules. Those slight changes are:
- Replacers cannot be requested for 2 consecutive editions. (This means that if you requested a replacer for this edition, you will only be able to get one again in #71).
- Replacers cannot be requested right after a strike. (This means that for example
 Bosnia & Herzegovina, which received a strike this edition, cannot request a replacer the next edition that specific player participates).
Those modifications were made in order to avoid repeatedly asking for replacers, which is unfortunately quite common with some players recently, as well as in order to ensure that once someone receives a strike, they are willing to participate properly for at least one edition after their strike.
Special Edition Theme Revealed! As you know, next edition is a Special one, just like every 10th Edition. In previous such editions we used to collect suggestions and then created a poll etc. However, we have decided to go for an internal selection for next edition and the theme we have decided is:2nd Chance Edition!
Please check the spoiler below for further information, as well as for the "rules" and some clarifications about the theme.Your country must have probably failed to qualify to the Grand Final at some point with a singer that you really thought deserved to qualify. This is exactly the goal of this edition; to give all those artists a 2nd chance!Some clarifications:
- You can only submit a song from an artist who has failed to qualify in all their attempts in the contest. If the same artist has taken part more than once and has qualified in at least one of their attempts, they cannot be sent.
- If the artist has failed to qualify with an entry performed by him but has qualified with an entry performed by a duet or a band featuring him, then again the artist is not eligible to participate.
- If 2 (or more) countries have sent an artist (recent example Margaret Berger in a collaboration for
 Germany has taken part in the past for  Norway), then the artist can only be sent if they never qualified, for either of the countries they’ve participated for.
- If a band has never qualified in the final, you are free to go for one of its band members, unless they have previously taken part as a solo act and have qualified.
- Artists who have taken part between the 1st and the 15th Edition, where no semi finals existed, cannot be sent.
- Artists that failed to qualify, submitted by previous players for the country can also be sent.
- Non-qualification does not necessarily mean direct elimination; artists who have participated in the 2nd Chance Round but haven’t qualified from there are also allowed.
- Since it is a Special Edition, you are free to go for artists from last edition as well.
- There is no player limit; thus even with over 55 players, there won't be any Pre-Qualification Round or whatsoever.

First of all, I like the change concerning replacements. And I also like the theme for #70. It's also quite an easy one imo since I've tones of NQS (finally they're helpful.  ). And it'll surely be an interesting one. If I understood right, then it's basically "No artist that has ever experienced a Wwwsc final"? |
