Morocco confirms with NS Although since there is no limit this edition, the only thing that you have to do is to submit an entry before the deadline to confirm a spot. However, just making it clear that in any other normal edition, a NS does not confirm your spot, in order to avoid confusions/disappointments in the future. |

It is DiHaj for Azerbaijan! Receiving 50% of the votes in Milli Seçim Turu #5, Azerbaijani indie- and art-pop band DiHaj has been selected to represent the country in the upcoming special edition of the WWWSC. The band failed to qualify to the final in 51st edition, being placed 13th out of 16 participants in the semi-final round. This time, DiHaj is back with an experimental ambient song called "Outro", included in their latest album. We wish best of luck to our representative! Timeslot: 2:45+ On a personal note, I am very happy this song got chosen as Outro is my most favourite song from the band. I, however, have set my expectations for the entry very low. There is a common misconception that DiHaj is a stage name of the vocalist Diana Hajiyeva, while it is a band consisting of her along with 2 male members. Thus, please take that into account if you are going to choose another picture yourselves. |

 The Netherlands confirms with: Trinity ft.  Bernard Cissa - Métropolitain Trinity previously competed in #46, finishing 20th in the semi with their song 'We are born'. Now they're back with 'Métropolitain', an uptempo song in three languages (French, Wolof and English). PS: Although the YT version does not credit the guest vocals by Bernard Cissa, on the album he is credited. He sings the Wolof parts of this song, and I'd find it more than fair to include him in the artist name. |

So my options were:  One Direction (as if I was ever going to choose them) Brian Kennedy Damien Rice Royseven Rea Garvey The Riptide Movement Stephanie Rainey  Thundermother HamsandwicH Picture This The Academic Fí  Variant Sea RuthAnne Róisín Ní Eadhra And well after some consideration, this is what I decided on: The Academic - Why Can't We Be Friends?
Timeslot: 1:44-
Although I had a few choices, I've decided to go with The Academic specifically because I was actually very disappointed with their elimination back in the 56th edition, since their song Bear Claws is still one of my favourite songs  So why not give them a second chance?
From other participants... they simply didn't have other songs that I enjoyed. I did find one song, but unfortunately the featuring artist took part for another country before + qualified, but anyway I enjoy this song more.
