Initially excited about the selection at first, it ended up just being a bundle of rather eh~ songs in the end. Would have loved to see "Raw Stuff" at Eurovision, but at least the selected song wasn't a complete disaster.
I really enjoy her voice, and it's one detail which really elevates the song for me. I also enjoy the verses, as it has a really calm, yet haunting feeling that captivated my attention. However, what mostly put me off of the song is the bridge and the chorus. The bridge is suppose to prepare the listener for the chorus (which it does, don't get me wrong), but the bridge gave me a bad feeling the first time I heard it, as it put me out of the good mood I got from the verse, and I was lowkey prepared for a let down in the chorus. And once the chorus hit, I was rather disappointed. It's really weak compared to the verse, and my attention was averted really quickly.
Currently, my love for her voice and the verses are what makes me give this song 6 points to begin with, but I'm sort of tempting to give it lower, if my interest decreases over time.
If we focus on the staging, I have to say that I actually enjoyed the way it was staged. My only problem would be her costume (hi mr. mime), as it really pulls away the attention from the song to her choice of clothing. Would love if she thought of something different to wear during Eurovision, and then it could work well.
Australia should not be disappointed with their choice, but they should definitely go into the first semi final with caution.
THEIR CHANCES: Despite the weak selection, the song is not chanceless. It has an international appeal, so many people could still enjoy this, if the staging doens't ruin it. If the semi gets stronger, Australia is gonna be on the brink of a borderline qualifier, and if luck isn't by their side, this may result in their first NQ, but we'll see later in May.
"Don't Break Me" is a mixed bag filled with gummy bears and licorice, but in the end, it'll be exciting to see which will overpower which with the audience in May. Australia, Montaigne, I wish you both good luck in Rotterdam o/

I feel this song is good-ish but it's messy kinda and nothing really new. It has potential to grow on me to a higher grade but we will see well it just gets worse and worse everytime I listen to that chorus and that trainwreck of a performance. I feel like she deserves a better song than this but sadly she is going under the bus with this.

I love the song I have listened to it a lot the last couple of days (Does not mean is my favorite tho) I think it has some good chances but they need... no, THEY MUST change the staging, I wouldn't change it extremely tho, I do think that this sort of interpretative dance is interesting for this song, I would keep that style but it needs to be less energetic when it comes to the chorus because when she's in the verses it's normal she sounds good, she looks good but the chorus comes... yikes. In terms of the clothes, I know the clown thing is her personal style, get it but the thing around her neck, I think it's so unnecessary and, in my opinion, it is what makes people feel weird watching her & it also seems to bother her, she would look much better without that.
